Babylonstoren is one of the most charming farms in the Cape Winelands. We really enjoyed simply walking around the farm and exploring the different plants and trees. The little shops are also very cute, and I tried coffee with buffalo milk for the first time, which was surprisingly good! At the end of our walk, we went to the restaurant, which is set inside a beautiful greenhouse. The menu is based around fresh produce from the farm, which made the experience even more special. The farm shop was great as well, with a lovely selection of fresh produce and local products. We ended up getting raw honey, oranges, tangerines, and tea. We also tried several desserts from the bakery, which were very good. My favorite was the orange tea cake. We tried the gelato as well, which was okay. Overall, we really enjoyed our time at Babylonstoren. There is so much to explore, and even just walking around the farm and taking everything in was such a lovely experience.

We came here for the winery, did not stay at the hotel. Amazing experience, if you need a sign, this is it. You can spend hours here. Got here early around 930 on a private drive from Capetown. Go to the coffee shop and try a buffacino using milk from thier own herd. Then enjoy the chickens and donkeys on the poroperty (you can feed them carrots you buy at thier own little store). Garden tour at 10am, no need to get tickets, was casual. Our guide was amazing! Learned so much. Then we sat at the restaurant to try the 7 wine tasting, great. Our food spread board was incredible, get the one with salmon and fish dip. Got some souvineers on the way out too. There are more tours and restaurants but great place to visit.

What an amazing visit to Babylonstoren! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome, Jessy at reception was lovely, and our garden tour with horticulturalist Cornell was so informative and knowledgeable. The grounds are absolutely stunning. We ate at the garden restaurant and it did not disappoint, the harvest salads and scones are an absolute must try. The resident ducks wandering around were such a lovely bonus too. We budgeted around 4 hours and it was the perfect amount of time. A must visit when you’re in Cape Town. Cannot recommend enough!

I had such a wonderful day at Babylonstoren. It’s the perfect place to spend quality time with friends and family, and it’s also incredibly romantic for couples looking for a special day out. The estate is absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views, stunning gardens, and peaceful surroundings that make it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s only about a 45-minute drive from Cape Town, making it an easy day trip. I would definitely recommend bringing foreign visitors here to experience one of the Cape’s most beautiful destinations. One of the highlights of my visit was the chocolate, caramel and hazelnut croissant an easy 10/10! It was absolutely delicious, and I’d honestly go back just for that. Babylonstoren is a beautiful destination that’s well worth a visit if you’re looking to relax, enjoy nature, and spend a memorable day with loved ones. The only downside for me was that a lot of the products in the shops were overpriced. However, that didn’t take away from the overall experience.

We have traveled extensively all over the world and experienced many exceptional hotels, but this was truly the best experience we have ever had. We do not say this lightly - it was genuinely magnificent. The entire team, without exception, was outstanding. The warmth, professionalism, and genuine smiles made us feel welcome from the very first moment, the farm, water buffalos, wine tour. The food and breakfast were absolutely delicious and brought real happiness to every morning. The spa experience was exceptional, and even the small details - like the hot water pillows in the bed - made a huge difference. This was, without any doubt, the best hospitality we have ever experienced. We travel approximately 20–30 times a year and have done so for the past 15 years, and this stay truly stands above all others. And trust us - 5* in Dubai - far far away from what you achieved, you are the best! Thank you everyone.
