About

Wagyu Mountain Lodges is a hotel in Paarl. We offer two secluded self-catering lodges located on a private farm in the Cape Winelands, each designed for couples. Our lodges are set within a working agricultural landscape at the foot of the Klein Drakenstein Mountain. Each lodge provides mountain views, a private wood-fired hot tub, a kitchenette, and braai facilities. We are surrounded by olive orchards, almond groves, and vineyards, with expansive views towards Table Mountain.

What an amazing nice place! The bungalows are big and beautiful, clean, bed is comfi and a stunning view. It is selfcatering (I did not recognize it and came along for two days without a car and without any food...) but I found food in the fridge, including Wagyu Steaks which are really good. Communication with the owner was very easy and fast for whatever question I had. Perfect for relax and enjoy. I had a walk through the olive farm, springbocks are just in front of my Veranda, well, amazingly relaxing.

I decided to treat myself on Black Friday and order a bunch of wagyu steaks and products from their online store after having been disappointed by other wagyu providers. While there was a couple of issues with the order, to their credit, Wagyu Experience(Rebecca in particular) went out of their way to rectify them which was greatly appreciated. Due to the volume of orders, mistakes are bound to happen which I can understand, but its their response to those mistakes which truly showed me their commitment to great customer service. I've tried a few of the steaks now (fillet, rump, chuck and their burger patties) which were all great! Truly an experience, as their name suggests!

My husband loves Wagyu anything. So when we saw this place and that it was called The Wagyu Experience, we knew we had to come try it out. Now my husband really wanted to try their steak, but we had dinner plans with friends for a braai so we knew we couldn’t overdo our lunch. Instead we each ordered the Gourmet Wagyu Burger and added a slice of cheese. The burger was juicy and flavorful for sure. A downside was just how small the patty was. I guess because of the quality of the beef the portion size is smaller? I’m not sure. Granted, there were a number of delicious toppings on the burger which still overall it was delicious. And the chips, fries, served with the burger was so so good. We’re glad we experienced it and the overall atmosphere and staff were a pleasure. We can’t wait to come back and try the Wagyu steaks!

Make the trip out to Paarl to visit Wagyu Experience at least once. I've been there twice and the food was fantastic on both occasions. Go early in the morning when it's quiet and you'll have the place to yourself. Great experience, I'll be back many more times.

I was very excited to visit The Wagyu Experience, and my anticipation was absolutely rewarded! We had an awesome time. They have different tasting options available with our groups sampling everything from non-alcoholic Rooibos cordial infusions paired with Wagyu, to wine and Wagyu pairings, and my personal favorite, the whisky and Wagyu experience. Each pairing consisted out of five different cuts of Wagyu, and every single one was a perfect match. After the tasting, we decided to grab some lunch. I went for their Wagyu burger and it was one of the best burgers I have ever had. As an added bonus they also have a nice outside kids play area (not shaded so pack sunscreen and hats) which kept the little ones entertained. We had a great day and I can highly recommend a visit to The Wagyu Experience.
