Had a wonderful breakaway here today with the family. We enjoyed walking around and tasting all the lovely stuff they have on offer. The restaurant has great food and the chocolate is to die for. Restroom is clean and really pritty. Worth the outing.

Such a lovely, slow-paced escape from city rush. Stepping into Spice Route feels like walking into a vintage countryside retreat. The air is filled with warm aromas of chocolate, spices and wine. We loved hopping between different tasting houses, sampling local produce and lingering over lunch at the bistro. Quiet lawns, old tiled walls and mountain views create incredibly calming vibes. Perfect for slow wandering, picnic or relaxed afternoon drinks. A one-of-a-kind sensory experience you won’t find anywhere else near Cape Town.

We love coming here. There is so much to do and that they are dog friendly is the BIGGEST bonus! We love the pizzeria. He loves the beer tasting. I love wine tasting. There's something for everyone. There are also hiking trails at the top of the farm that lead to the Paarl Rock trails. The tea garden is also super great to explore. Plenty space for the kids to play.

What a great expierence. We did a tasting at the Cape Brewing Company. They have nice selection of craft beers and different tasting options. There a diffrent places to visit. We bought spices ( huge selection of spices) and you can also mix your own spices or asked them to mix a special blend for. There was also a wide selection of tea's. We visisted the chocolate factory. They do tasting's there as well and have an interesting selection of chocolate and nougat. We enjoyed lunch La Grapperia. We had pot stickers, deep fried camembert and a pizza. The food was delicious and comforting. The restaurant had a cosy, warm atmosphere with a beautifull view. I will absolutely recommend a visit here!

My family and I have been visiting the Spice Route Destination in Paarl over the years, and it has always been a lovely outing in the Winelands. It is a beautiful space with incredible views, and a great place to spend a relaxed day exploring. Over time, the offerings have changed a bit, whether it is a different chocolatier, new restaurants, or different experiences available. While it still has a variety of things to enjoy, I do feel that there is not quite as much on offer as there used to be. There are still some nice options, including a small tea store, a chocolatier, ice cream, wine tasting and beer tasting, along with a couple of larger restaurant options. The overall concept is centred around artisanal food and drink experiences, which is part of what makes it special. When I visited recently with my partner, we enjoyed getting an ice cream and a small snack while taking in the beautiful views, which was really lovely. However, we did notice that some shops were closed, and if you are looking for something small and casual to snack on, it can be a bit difficult unless you book at one of the restaurants. That said, it is still a very scenic and enjoyable destination, especially if you are in the Paarl area. It is a great place for a relaxed visit, wine tasting or simply enjoying the surroundings, even if the more casual food options are a bit limited.
