We booked the Navy line for the tram, I don’t know how anyone got to see 4 or 5 wineries. By the time you get to the tasting room you have roughly 36minutes to do the tasting and get back on the tram… don’t stop off at the first place as everyone else did and was quite busy I felt extremely rushed. I love the idea of it and reading the reviews maybe we didn’t quite understand - but the service at the wineries we did go to were great! We managed to see 3 Boschendal, Plaisir & Vrede En Lust

Brilliant way to visit some wine estates and get a good experience of the franschhoek Valley. We chose the navy line as we definitely wanted to visit boschendal! We wasn't disappointed. Even though our tram was out of action the replacement bus service was excellent. We did receive a 50% refund due to the situation.

Booked the Tram on the red line however a day before received notification the tram would be out of service and a refund of 50% would be processed which was appreciated.. Instead we had to utilize the tram bus. Despite the disappointment, we had the time of our lives. The team on the ground were super helpful and friendly. Absolutely loved the hop on hop off. Busses run according to a specific time and effortless. We decided to visit on the hottest day on earth during the heatwave in CT but Despite the heat, it was great. Red line has great wine farms and selected 3 to visit for the day. Will most definitely return for another visit.

This was a blast. It's a brilliant day out exploring the vineyards in the most charming way possible. Hop on, hop off style, it stops at every winery, or grab the wine bus for the others off the route. The wine tastings are good fun, with a number of different options to choose from in the form of snacks and/or a full meal. We got sidetracked at the Franschhoek Cellars for a full lunch that took way longer than it needed to, and Eikehof was one of the best cheese platters we've had. This is, arguably, a better way to do this than going to each winery yourself. For one thing, you don't need to drive, for another vibe is so lekker chill on the tram and everyone's 'onboard ' (pun alert). Needless to say, but the wine got better as we went along, so pace yourself, and bring a trolley for all the wine you are going to buy.

This is our 2nd time using the tram - we chose the navy line and were not disappointed! Even though there was a bus replacement for part of the journey the team are so organised everything ran like clockwork. We think the staff and drivers are excellent. So when we realised at the last return bus of the day that my partner had left his hat on the bench at the previous terminal they assured us it would be bought to the Franschoek terminal for collection - we were not disappointed. In terms of vineyards we can thoroughly recommend Boschendal (great wines and the fantastic variety of offerings looked very generous) and Bartinney (fabulous wines and the best views).
