Anthonij Rupert Wine Farm is a winery in Franschhoek. We offer premium wine tastings, including our Cape of Good Hope range and Anthonij Rupert flagships. Our estate package includes activities across our grounds, with tastings at the historic manor house and the modern Terra del Capo tasting room.
At the Terra del Capo tasting room, you can observe our wines being bottled. We also feature a visit to the Franschhoek Motor Museum and provide a shuttle service around our property.
Our portfolio includes six distinctive wine brands from various sites in the Western Cape, founded on the L'Ormarins farm.
I highly recommend a visit to the Anthonij Rupert Wine Farm & Wine Tasting. It was a fantastic experience and the staff were top-notch. I suggest that one orders a mixed charcuterie board to eat with the fabulous 👌🏻 wine flight. Bravo 👏🏼 team - we will be back.

We had the most incredible tasting at Anthonij Rupert thanks to Yanga. His knowledge of each grape, each vineyard site, and each wine was on another level, you could feel the passion. He took us through the Cape of Good Hope range and the Anthonij Rupert flagships with care and depth.
His wine tasting slaps. If you appreciate serious wine and a host who actually knows their stuff, ask for Yanga. Unforgettable afternoon.

We were very happy with the four-hour estate package. It's more than just a typical wine tasting; it's a mix of activities across the estate's stunning, well-kept grounds. We enjoyed premium tastings at the historic manor house, followed by another tasting paired with lunch at the modern Terra del Capo tasting room, where you can watch the wines being bottled. The fascinating visit to the Franschhoek Motor Museum and the impressive shuttle service around the property made the experience truly special.
The service is remarkable.

Anthonij Rupert Wine Farm is an exceptional destination for anyone who appreciates fine wine and stunning surroundings. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by the estate’s elegant, old-world architecture, which exudes charm and sophistication. The grounds are impeccably maintained, with lush green lawns, mature trees, and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains—creating a truly serene and picturesque setting that makes your wine tasting experience even more enjoyable.
The wines themselves are outstanding. Each sip reflects the passion and expertise of the winemakers, offering a delightful balance of flavors that is both complex and approachable. It’s clear that great care goes into every bottle, making it a must-visit for wine lovers. During our tasting, we found the staff to be knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, further enhancing the overall experience.
The only minor hiccup during our visit was a temporary power outage, which made card payments a bit challenging. While it caused a brief delay, the staff handled the situation as best they could. In hindsight, a simple reassurance that we could leave without paying immediately would have been ideal—but honestly, this small inconvenience does not take away from what is otherwise a fantastic visit.
Overall, Anthonij Rupert Wine Farm offers a combination of world-class wines, breathtaking scenery, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you are a seasoned wine enthusiast or simply looking for a beautiful place to enjoy a tasting, this estate is highly recommended. It’s an experience that engages all your senses, and one that will leave you with lasting memories of both the wine and the stunning South African landscape.

We had an absolutely amazing afternoon at this wine farm. We were greeted with a very warm welcome that set the tone for the rest of the visit. Our guide was truly exceptional—knowledgeable, hospitable, and clearly passionate about the history and craftsmanship behind the wines. He made the entire experience not only educational but also incredibly enjoyable.
We tasted a wide range of wines and definitely had favourites from each category. We loved learning about the long and fascinating history of the farm, which added so much depth to the tasting experience.
It was a perfect blend of relaxation, culture, and discovery, and I would recommend this experience to anyone who appreciates fine wine and warm hospitality. This visit really opened our eyes to South African wines and sure enough we will be returning.
