Honestly, I cannot rate the Rooms or location as I had to call 3 times yesterday (18/05/2026) just to get them to make sure my email was correct. Eventually i recieved a whatsapp to send my email to. I whatsapped yesterday (18/05/2026) and again this morning (19/05/2026) to no responce. That already puts me off from wanting to make a booking. Not worth the hassel when there are many places around them.

This place doesn't desrve to even be on a map.Brought overseas guests here. After they were informed that the guests were arriving around 23h30 this evening. Got to the entranceat exactly 23h30 no security staff at the gate or in the security hut. Pressed the intercom button, it rang and rang for 5 minutes, no answer. Pressed it again, no answer, i then hooted and someone decided to open the gate. Drove through, got to reception, NOBODY home, walked around the entire premises, couldnt find a single staff member. The guests then asked me to find another hotel nearby. I phoned around, and found Protea Tygervallei, and booked them a room. Ten times better service and at least 10 times better hospitality. I will NEVER recommend Ruslamere to anyone. Do NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with this place. Useless business.

The linen was spotless, the staff friendly and the the food from Fox and Bagel, delicious. The Ruslamere breakfast, very underwhelming. However the studio we were in leaked, ground floor 207. Whenever th be upstairs guests showered th water would rain down on the beside table and bed. So 6 in the morning I got woken up in the rain? All over my phone and anything else that was in its path! After reporting it We were told they would fix it, never happened! It’s obviously an on going problem as the ceiling is blistered and you can see the previous repairs. It’s definitely not a 4 star anything !

While I did not stay at the hotel. I had a wikideal for the spa. What a terrible experience. The idea of the wikideal was good but the execution was not as stated and what was done was terrible. It felt like it was both of the therapists first day on the job, they were lost majority of the time. The hygiene was not good. My husband and I both had body scrubs and they used the same water from a bucket for both of us to wash and wipe our bodies, a salt scrub BTW was just soap and an exfoliating glove. They gave options of certain treatment in the wikideal but on the day they didn't ask us what we'd like they basically chose for us with no other options. So I basically bought the deal because I needed a manicure as we but again they decided to just give us a pedicure which wasn't even a pedicure it was just trimming our nails horribly not even evenly and soaking out feet. I apologize to the hotel as this is more of a review of the spa and not the actual hotel experience but a warning has to be made regarding the spa cause had I known it was so terrible I wouldn't have booked here but there was no updated review of the actual spa experience anywhere to be found
