We are currently staying at this place but it’s nothing to rave about and too expensive for the value received. The place is situated in beautiful surroundings with lovely views from the room. Rooms do have a fireplace but no air conditioning so you wake up to a place that is freezing cold, it also not very well maintained and hygiene not up to standard. There is no dining etiquette and at the dinner braai the servers mixed utensils without taking specific dietary requirements into consideration. When I asked to speak to a manager, nobody was available and I actually heard a man tell the waitress ‘that’s her problem’. Breakfast is served by 1 person and because of this they only have 3 items on the menu, some melon, banana in an bowl and yoghurt. Overall disappointing.

What a great little organic winery we stumbled across. Doing the hop on and off bus and decided to walk up the hill to Silvermist for tasting. Little did we realise it was their first day serving lunch. The organic wines were great and although we didn't eat I must say the food looked delicious. The live music was an unexpected treat and perfect little sport looking out over the vines in the summer sun. Well worth a visit. The staff were super friendly and the manager even introduced us to the wine maker. We will definitely be back on our next visit. Nicole and Rob Ps thanks for the lift!!!

This review is for the restaurant / wine tasting location, not the hotel or any other things on the property. Getting here required a bit of a walk from the Constantia wine stop on the hop on hop off bus. Maybe 15 minutes or so, mostly up hill. It isn't too bad, but I could see it being annoying on a hot day or difficult for people who are a bit out of shape (or for whom it isn't their first wine stop of the day). As for the restaurant / wine tasting area, it was nice. There was indoor and outdoor seating, and a decent food menu. They had a fair amount of wine on offer, and their tasting was reasonably priced. 4 wines (with generous pours) priced at less than 200 rand. The wines were good, and the sommelier who poured them seemed knowledgeable. My only complaint was that the wines were mostly white wines (well, 50% white and 25% rose). Having a red wine tasting menu would be a great idea for those that prefer reds. All in all, a good place to stop for a bite and a few glasses of wine. Would recommend.

An Unforgettable Afternoon of Rhythm, Wine & Fire What an extraordinary experience! We spent a wonderful afternoon at Silvermist Organic Wine Estate and were completely blown away by the Drumstruck Wine Tasting. From the very first beat, the Drumstruck show had us captivated: pure energy, raw passion, and an infectious rhythm that got everyone involved. The performers are world-class, and their ability to connect with the audience is remarkable. Within minutes, the entire crowd was drumming along, laughing, and feeling the pulse of African music in the most authentic way. What makes this experience truly unique is the combination with Silvermist’s outstanding organic wines. You wouldn’t expect a high-energy drumming show and a refined wine tasting to complement each other so perfectly, but they absolutely do. The wines were excellent, beautifully presented, and a wonderful counterpoint to the vibrant percussion. To top it all off, the afternoon concluded with a traditional Braai, accompanied once again by fantastic live music. The food, the atmosphere, the stunning setting of the vineyard, everything came together seamlessly. We visited as a family and it was the perfect experience for all of us. If you’re looking for something truly special in the Cape Town area, something that combines culture, great wine, delicious food, and unforgettable entertainment, this is it. An absolute must-do! We’re already looking forward to coming back.

We hosted a team event at Silvermist with a group of 25, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. The wine tasting, Drumstruck performance, and braai were all exceptional, truly better than we could have imagined. The team was incredibly welcoming, and the Drumstruck performers brought so much energy and passion; it was unforgettable. The setting itself is breathtaking, with stunning views that made the experience even more special.
