Dining at Bistro Klein Constantia was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The service was nothing short of impeccable—warm, attentive, and highly professional without ever feeling intrusive. Every member of the team made us feel genuinely welcome, and their attention to detail ensured that every aspect of our visit was seamless. The food was truly outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented and prepared with obvious care and passion. The flavours were perfectly balanced, showcasing the quality of the ingredients while allowing every element on the plate to shine. Every course was memorable, with incredible depth of flavour and a level of craftsmanship that rivals some of the finest dining experiences. What stood out most was how effortlessly the restaurant combines refined, elegant cuisine with a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. It felt like enjoying world-class food while still experiencing the warmth and comfort of genuine hospitality. Bistro Klein Constantia is a true gem and a credit to its talented chefs and dedicated front-of-house team. If you appreciate exceptional food, flawless service, and a dining experience that exceeds expectations, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. We left thoroughly impressed and are already looking forward to returning. Highly recommended.

Did the basic tasting was good however I'd rather have done the "experience" around R750 per person however you get to taste the better wines and tour the cellar. Call and book in advance. The dessert wine is a knock out. Not that sweet and rich in flavour. It's pricey so rather taste before you buy the bottle. Yummy.

Klein Constantia is pure Cape magic. I went for a wine tasting expecting good wine, but I left with a whole mood. The estate sits at the foot of the mountains in Constantia, and the place is beautiful. The tasting was relaxed, not rushed. The staff knew their wines and actually cared that you enjoyed them. Sipping the Vin de Constance felt like tasting history, sweet, complex, and so smooth it lingers. Their reds were bold without trying too hard. You can tell every bottle has time and care in it. It’s elegant but not snobby. You feel welcome whether you’re a wine nerd or you just like a good glass with a view. Already planning to go back on a clear day for those full vineyard views. If you’re in Cape Town and you skip Klein Constantia, you’re missing out.

We visited Klein Constantia specifically for the Vin de Constance experience and it absolutely lived up to expectations. We did both the sweet wine tasting and a tasting from their broader range and every wine was beautifully presented and genuinely enjoyable. Our tasting host was fantastic - knowledgeable, engaging and made the experience feel relaxed and personal without being pretentious. The cellar door itself is stunning, with beautiful décor and a refined but welcoming atmosphere that perfectly suits the estate. The highlight was taking home our own personalised bottles, sealed in front of us during the experience, which made it feel extra special and memorable. You can even select the vintage you want. We would love to come back with more time to properly enjoy the bistro as well, which looked incredible unfortunately we just couldn’t fit it into the day.

Top marks for the estate, the staff, the overall experience, and of course the world-class wine. If you are a fan of Sauv Blancs, you’ll find some enthralling examples in both well-composed, balanced, approachable styles and more raw, honest examples for those who really know the varietal and want to understand this particular terroir. The Vin de Constance is a storied wine that I’d only seen in passing whilst reading historical literature—I had no idea that this piece of history was still available for tasting. Let’s just say that it lives up to the hype, but you’ll have to try it yourself. The Blanc de Blanc zero dosage was spectacular—it was the equivalent of about $22 USD—my mind was blown. I’d pay three to five times this price in Seattle for something of similar quality. Also, the gift shop was extremely high quality. I bought very affordable olive oil from the estate to take home, and my friend purchased all sorts of items such as toiletries and room spray. The tasting room was immaculate. Staff incredibly professional. Go here if you go nowhere else in Constantia.
