Wish that I had this in my neighborhood! We stopped in for a glass of wine- delicious- and then had some cheese- a beautiful plate they put together. The people working there were super friendly and we had a great time!

Publik is a gorgeous little gem in an amazing neighbourhood of Cape Town - our Uber driver Ronald affectionately reffered to the area as "the belly of the beast" - Publik is a tiny wine bar "for nice people", offering wines from less mainstream producers served by very knowledgable people, and the atmosphere is just perfect! - add it as a pre-dinner stop-off when you are next dining out in the Mother City!

Bittersweet that I only discovered this place on the last day of my trip. Publik might just be the best wine bar in Cape Town. A much more original wine and food list than most places in the city, with great biodynamic choices and a team that clearly knows what they’re doing. Relaxed, lively atmosphere and just really good vibes all around. Definitely a spot I’ll come back to next time. 🍷

Gutted I only made it to Publik on my last day in Cape Town… definitely carving out more time there next trip. A neighbourhood bar championing organic, natural + sustainable wines from independent local producers — capturing the best of SA’s new-wave winemaking. An awesome, unpretentious spot. 🇿🇦🍷

Super cool funky wine bar. Excellent selection of SA wines and bubbles by glass and bottle and the team are real experts. They always have a selection of « different » wines from exciting producers as well as some that are more traditional. Great selection of small plates and cheese and charcuterie platters all prepared in front of you by the chef. Top place.
