This place was not busy when i dropped in for a drink. But i did enjoy the beer 🍺 😉 . Not a massive pub/brewery but they say they have had groups and functions with atleast 200 people. You would never say it eas there. Not well marked or advertised. I found it by accident.

The warm heart of a cool beer. This place was magnificent. I was welcomed by kindly barman Dion, enjoyed a superb conversation with pioneering co-owners Shim and Anoushka, and appreciated learning about South African enterprise in action. This place has the whole package especially during the day if you like to enjoy a good working environment. Fully recommended for beer afficionados and those who appreciate the type of start up with heart that makes Cape Town such a magnificent city.

Very fun bar with a great selection of beers. They also have darts, board games and karaoke. The borrie rolls and pizza are delicious too. A hidden gem. Walk into the main spice yard entrance on voortrekker road, past 2 restaurants and turn right. Entrance on your right opposite axe throwing venue.

Second time going to The Doppery with a bigish group and had a great time again. From the beer to the pizza everything was on point. Especially liked the American Pale Ale. The pizza combinations are well thought out and came out quickly. Very inviting atmosphere and was even offered to have seperate tabs which is very much not the norm in Cape Town. Warning though the hot sauce is properly 🔥

We had the best time! Hester has so much knowledge about all things beer, she made our experience awesome. Love that it’s pet friendly. It was also lovely meeting Olaf the Scottish Terroir
