Some of the best service I’ve had in a long time. The young gentleman behind the bar was great straight off the bat. The staff apologised profusely for the wait on our food (which I didn’t think was actually that long. I’ve waited longer at other places and had no apology at all), and compensated us with a complementary round of drinks and a side of fries. Great beer, great food and great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Had a great evening with friends at the taproom. Sat outside in the beer garden with our dog toby. They made us feel super welcome and toby loved all the staff. One of the only places we've been were pets feel more than welcome. Have water for the pets. Brought us out blankets when the temp was dropping and service was just great. Food was lovely too 😋 ☺️

Great venue and amazing food! My wife and I really enjoyed the beer garden, and we had no issues with service which I know some other reviews mentioned.

Mastertons best spot for a beer and food. Lots of options for drinks, Great options for food, pizzas, small platters, beards and dips and super tasty Desserts! The perfect place for a social occasions or just a nice relaxing for a drink after work. We had a group of 10 come from dinner and drinks, food arrived within 10minutes from us ordering, we tried a bunch of different pizzas, which were all great and full of flavour. The toppings were fresh and delicious. The Bar has a great outdoor area, with a beer garden and lawn games. Inside a moody and modern feel with a great horseshoe shaped bar, loaded with a good range of craft beer on tap. Our family loved our night here and will definitely be back again! Really hope this time place continues to thrive as masterton really lacks a good place to eat, drink and socialise. My only piece of constructive feedback is that our meat pizzas, particularly the piccante could be do with another few minutes in the over to cook the base slightly longer so it crispy. However the Fungi pizza was cooked perfectly nice and crispy. To finish off the Pannacotta was probably the best I’ve ever had which came by a delicious mango sorbet.

What a transformation of this space! Gorgeous setting. Food is interesting and pairs well with the tap beers. Great range of beers and local wines. Friendly staff and love that we can take the dog! Kid friendly too we have lots of fun playing the outdoor games.
