This restaurant is excellent. Compliments to the chef and our expert sommelier/server Oliver who made this experience truly unforgettable. The food and wine were amazing. This is a must stop when visiting Martinborough.

Just outside of town, this bistro was a great spot to spend our last night in Martinborough. It's connected to a resort but we booked in advance which was fine. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable so can assist in the perfect wine pairing for your meal. My partner was blown away by the wagyu and my pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth divine. We'd recommend this to anyone and will be back for another fine dining experience if we're in the area again!

Wonderful dinner experience at the York Bistro tonight. The service was outstanding by the two excellent, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Our dietary requirements were no problem at all for the chef and kitchen team and the food was amazing with thoughtful presentation. Can thoroughly recommend this place if you want a special meal and experience! Will definitely be back 👍

There are not enough stars to rate this effectively. The service you will receive is incredible as all the staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. There is a magnificent range of options for dinner and I recommend all of them as they taste amazing. In the mornings there is a full continental breakfast that is an absolute must to start your day.

A place that celebrates local produce and wineries. Offering bespoke wine collection from the Wairarapa region in one cosy place. We were in a treat to attend a Jazz ensemble prior to our dinner. The restaurant offers their venue for local talent on special occasions. Their collection of art pieces are gallery worthy, my favorite art-piece - ‘Human’. We tried ‘Dry River’ Pinot Noir, a vintage indeed. I had a Kingfish who did receive a true royal brioche-lemongrass match making. Our luxury experience was matched by ‘D’ for Dean’s ‘D’ for Delightful customer service.
