We visit when over this way but this time around it wasn’t a great experience. On an extremely cold winters morning you’ve got your double doors open, a window and judging by a severe draft across our legs and backs, possibly a back door open too? My wife had a veggie toasty that was soggy to boot. Another table by us left because they too were too cold to stay for another round of coffees. Not great team

My husband & I were on our way to Cape Palliser for a day trip & stopped in for a much needed coffee break. We were recommended this fantastic coffee shop from the local service station man, Nathan (I believe). Well…. We did not just ordered a coffee we also spotted the danishes in the cabinet… yep we HAD to have one (each as sharing is not our strong suit). But it doesn’t stop there… we drove back to Martinborough, stopped in for a very late lunch! I had a deconstructed toasted bagel with Vegemite (sometimes an Aussie soul & tastebuds yearns Vegemite), cheese & lashings of butter. It was pure heaven. That & an iced coffee & I was sooo happy. My husband opted for the Salmon Frittata, iced coffee & he too was very happy. Another danish pastry & a raspberry & lemon muffin & we were back on our way! I highly recommend this amazing coffee shop!

Went here by recommendation and was disappointed. Poor attitude from staff made us feel incredibly unwelcome. Food was overpriced for both quality and size, quiche was burnt, chickpea salad had 2 chickpeas and my $11.5 smoothie was smaller than my hand. Despite the size of the drinks they were good and there is a nice atmosphere but today it was unfortunately ruined for us. Most likely won’t be coming back.

A busy cafe with positive, energetic staff who have the service running well and are also obviously having a good time working. Good coffee and cabinet food selection both savoury and sweet. The cafe is missing a cooked breakfast offering. Maybe the kitchen is too small to offer the next level of food items? All in all, a great experience after having walked out of another local cafe who didn't have the same level of efficiency in their service.
