This experience turned into a huge disappointment - stealing, lying, and disrespect from The Offering’s staff. A single mistake would be understandable, but this was an epic failure caused by multiple staff members. When I bought the "Deals & Steals Voucher Book" for $59.90 as part of the Festival of Christmas and brought my friends to The Offering - each of us having a voucher for 20% and the restaurant promised an award-winning chicken burger on their menu. I did not expect that the "Steals" part was meant literally. We arrived after 1 pm, and our table was number 9. Four of us made three separate orders at the counter. Mine was the first one: I presented the voucher for a 20% discount on the whole order, which included the "famous" chicken burger for $30 (dine-in), the Offering Sandwich for $27 (takeaway), and the Karma Kola drink for $8.50. Total: $65.50. Unfortunately, I trusted them and did not check that they hadn’t applied my voucher - but they took it anyway. They did not apply it, and they did not return it. That was definitely not a "Deal" but a Steal, which I discovered much later. My friends also ordered meals to dine in and others as takeaway. They were served, except me. I pointed out that it was quite a funny approach to serve takeaways before someone’s dine-in meal. When another staff member approached, I explained that I was still waiting for my order and told her what it was. I got a simple answer: "Yes." Then nothing happened for a very long time until my friend called another waitress and asked about my order. I repeated it again. The waitress went to the kitchen window and returned, telling us, "Yes, it is coming" which later turned out to be a lie. If they had admitted a mistake and tried to make it right, that would have been an understandable human approach. But no, they decided to lie, and it was obvious no one wanted to deal with the problem. It looked like it happened due to shift changes, as the lady at the counter was gone, and so was the guy who seated us. Later, when my friends had finished their meals, one of the waitresses stopped by and asked me what my order was - after I had already told them twice. She wanted the exact names of each item. Previously, I referred to them as "a chicken burger" and "the Offering Sandwich." At that point, I asked for the menu because they had already hidden everything as they were about to close, and honestly, what I thought were just funny entertaining names turned out to be nonsense to remember. I asked politely for the menu and repeated my order. I was told, "Sorry, it didn’t print out." So when I was told earlier that "It is coming" they were simply lying. Unfortunately, I was in shock at that point; otherwise, I would have demanded to cancel the whole order and get my money back. I would expect this option to be offered automatically by the restaurant staff. Instead, they asked me only one question: "Do you want a takeaway box for that?" - at a time when they were already closing after almost two hours. I answered just "Yes" and while waiting, I checked my bank card transactions and found out they had never applied the 20% discount. When the cook gave me the food in paper bags on paper plates, he just said, "Sorry, thank you." At that point, I brought up that they took my voucher but never applied it. He just laughed it off, embarrassed, and walked away - and so did I, hungry, disappointed, angry, and ripped off. I heated up the burger in the oven at home, and I must say I was deeply disappointed. On the other hand, the Offering Sandwich was surprisingly good - the only part of The Offering experience I enjoyed. Overall, it was NOT worth it. The staff attitude ruined what could have been a great food experience, and that’s said very politely. UPDATE Bevan reached out to me. His sincere apology, clear willingness to address the staff‑related issues, and his offer of a full refund showed real accountability. If I return to Greytown for the Illumination Night Walk, I’ll give The Offering a 2nd chance and use the refunded amount to try again.

Visited today to try their burger nation burger and it was 1 of their best yet! The owners are the most kind polite people with a very strong passion for what comes out of their kitchen.
