Absolutely fantastic hosts & accommodation! Lovely comfy room & home & beautiful breakfast. Made me feel welcome & special. Hosts are beautiful people with some great conversations. Highly recommend staying here.

Our family group of 3 generations stayed at Hardie House for 2 nights while celebrating a wedding at a local venue. Our hosts, Judy and Neil, were very friendly and helpful and their warm hospitality made us feel as though we were staying with friends, rather than as paying guests. Neil's breakfasts were a feast and a delightful start to our mornings. Even when there was no power one morning (a power pole was knocked down by a car causing a widespread outage) Neil still managed to produce toast using a number 8 wire fashioned toasting fork to toast bread over the kitchen's open fire....priceless! This 100 year old 2storeyed cottage is full of charm and decor from a previous era and is well worth visiting if you plan to stay in the Featherston area.
