Disappointing and very overpriced. Grounds unkempt and overgrown, the whole place looks old and tired. The 2 bedroom unit we stayed in had been renovated a little but smelled musty and wasn't very clean. We won't be back!

Communications from staff were good, although we never saw anyone face to face which is becoming a norm. Lawns look like they hadn't been mowed in a month or more. Paint flaking off the walls. Main bed in the open plan living area was pretty old & tired. No curtains on kitchen windows so early light for the main bed. Felt the room price was over priced for the state of the place.

Stayed one night in my van so my review is just about the camping site.
1 star for the great wifi and 1 star for the unlimited hot water for the shower.
I paid 30 dollars for one person non-powered camp site.
It was dirty and no soap near the toilet. The kitchen is really small, good for only one group. No isolation, it was cold inside. At the time, they didn't have gaz for the kitchen so no hot water at the sink. It is okay but they forget to tell me on the phone that the cooker was using gaz. I cooked with my own gaz cooker. Their fridge is also small. They can have two to four van/campervan at their site.
Small camping, near a road. I regret spending 30 dollars for their facilities. In two months of staying at private campings in the north island (20 dollars to 30 dollars), it is the first time I would rather stay in a freedom camp. Not worth 30 dollars.

We spent one night there recently. It's a modest establishment, but our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Probably not the most comfortable mattress I've slept on but no real complaints. Price was reasonable, and it's within a short drive of the wine trail. I've no idea when or even if I'll be in the vicinity again, but would be happy to stay there.
