About

Camping Huttopia Font-Romeu is a campground in Font-Romeu-Odeillo-Via. We offer various accommodations, including Canadian tents and Trappeur tents, along with traditional camping pitches. Our heated swimming pool provides views of the Pyrenees mountain range from over 1800m altitude. Located in the Pyrénées Catalanes regional natural park, our campsite is a base for discovering the lakes and mountains through hiking and cycling. We are near the Font-Romeu ski resort and offer activities for children that respect nature. Our onsite bar and restaurant serve pizzas, including options with local ingredients like a three-cheese pizza.

Our fourth Huttopia. Concept works well being an active family. We stayed in the Canadian tents and liked it. As always the swimming pool and sports/games facilities are abundant (although much is old/damaged). Facilities are ok, simple and also sometimes damaged but ok for us. Nice location to start cycling / hiking activities or explore the mountains by skilifts. Service is ok, welcoming but very basic (and slow :))

The campsite is very well-located, with beautiful trees, rocks, and everything in between. It's very natural. The area has beautiful scenery and lots to do. The lady at the reception was very friendly. But...far too few showers and dishwashing stations. The showers weren't very clean, and the water could suddenly get very hot. My daughter even got the showerhead on her head, as it came loose. There weren't enough chairs (10 to 15?) by the pool, and because of the banquiai floor, there was no way to put your towel down. So we never stayed at the Pool. But what really worried me was the campervan area. Emptying the toilet, cleaning the toilet, and fresh water all next to each other? I saw people using the long hose to clean their toilets, and right after, a campervan would fill their water tank with that hose! That's asking for trouble. I work in a hospital, and separation of dirty and clean areas is essential. So we just filled our campervan with bedding. The location is great, but the facilities are lacking....

We spent more than a week at the camping in a trappeur tent. The tent is the ideal mix of camping adventure and lodge comfort. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, the activities for kids are wisely chosen with respect for the nature and surroundings. Very clean sanitary and pool. (Which is not always the case in France). Finally a little bar and resto serves very good pizza’s even with local ingredients. We discovered and enjoyed particularly the 3 local cheese pizza.

We just spent a week at this awesome camping. Especially the service was great, they went above and beyond to help us. We last minute wanted to move our stay with one day and that was absolutely no problem. When we realized the electricity box was quite far from our pitch and we did not have any extension cables, they immediately provided us with two cables free of charge. Finally when it turned out we underestimated the cold nights (even mid summer) they provided us with two blankets to keep us warm in our tent. Thanks for everything!
