We had our biennial family reunion (17 people across three generations) at Domaine Madrona. The place was spectacular and all the guests felt that the rooms that they had were very, very nice (well maybe the three boys in the top room complained a bit about the heat). We were there on some of the hottest days in the summer, but there was generally a great breeze through the place. Helene and Gwen took care of us for breakfasts and general cleaning and Helene prepared two spectacular meals on our second and last nights at the Domaine. The children and parents really liked the space, but spent many, many hours at the pool. The Domaine was very well equipped. As Holly was out injured, Willem, the owner, took care of us as well and was very nice to give us a tour of his 800 ha olive farm and the blending and bottling plant. We certainly appreciated that while Willem's view was that he was a custodian of the quality of the land - he really is in the disaster management business, given fire, hail, lack of rain etc. A very impressive operation. Highly recommended for large groups.
