Woodbury Brewing Company is a pub in Woodbury with a full kitchen offering various beers, hard ciders, and cocktails. Our team crafts a wide variety of beers, including Russian Imperial Stouts and Double IPAs, with 13 beers on tap during visits. We offer beer flights and an outdoor area for warmer months. We frequently host live music.
Beware. Showed up on a Friday at 7pm - party of 3 - for a couple beers and food. We were greeted at the door by people asking for a $10 cover charge for the live music which didn’t start until 8:30. We were there for the beers not the band. We could not get served without paying the cover for a band that would not start playing for 90 minutes. So we left. I fully support places booking bands and supporting the local music scene but are you a brewpub or not? I drove ~30 minutes to come here. I won’t make that mistake again. I’ve been before several times and generally liked this place. No more.

I stopped by Woodbury Brewing Company today with a couple of buddies after playing nine holes nearby, and it ended up being a great call.
We got there around 12:30 shortly after they opened, and it was a perfect, relaxed atmosphere to catch some March Madness games at the bar. It wasn’t too crowded yet, which made it easy to grab good seats and enjoy the experience.
The bartenders were awesome, super friendly, attentive, and happy to let us sample a few beers before deciding. They had a great happy hour deal going where drafts under 7% ABV were just $5, which is hard to beat. I had a hard cider, and my buddies had a few beers each.
Food came out quick and was solid across the board. We ordered 30 wings (buffalo and lemon pepper) with the $1 per wing happy hour deal, plus a burger and fries and an order of tacos. Everything was really good, and the value was honestly impressive.
All in, for three people, with a bunch of food and around 4–5 drinks, we were out the door for under $100 including a 20% tip. That’s tough to beat anywhere.
They were also setting up for live music while we were there, which looked like it would’ve been a fun time, we just got there a little early for it.
Overall, great vibe, great service, and really good food and drink specials. I’d definitely come back, especially after another round of golf in the area.

This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I tried several excellent beers from Woodbury Brewing at beer festivals before, but this was my first visit to the brewery.
The brewery occupies an unassuming building, but once you enter you will see a great amount of work put into interior decor. The space inside is a singular big room with a bar island. An outside area is available for warmer months. The brewery has a full kitchen, and I tried several dishes from it. Everything was very fresh, juicy and tasty. There are several cocktails available for non-beer drinkers, and the one we had was good.
There were 13 beers on tap during my visit (one kicked in, hence the difference with the photo). You can order a flight of 4 beers to try more. For this review I got 12 beers I haven't had before. And all those beers were solid. There's a good variety of styles on tap, but every style was nailed down properly. My favorites for the day were Don't Go Romanov (Russian Imperial Stout) and Yummy Beers (Double IPA), both with their distinct flavor profile and deep and memorable taste.
Overall, I enjoyed this brewery. It has everything to entertain you for your visit, especially if you come during events.

9.28.25 Service was spot on. Beer & cider were great. Sitting outdoors on a perfect day like today was amazing. The live music was enjoyable but just too loud. We left to eat elsewhere because we couldn't hear each other. But others around us ordered food and it looked good. Back to the beer, they make it there. It takes great. And if you don't like beer, they have wine etc. Something for everyone.

Is this venue set back next to a run down dilapidated building off the main road? Well, yes. Should that dissuade you from checking it out? Emphatically no.
Friendly staff, great beer and good food combine to make for an amazing Saturday afternoon outside on the picnic benches. I’d love to see this spot with a band on stage on a busy evening as well! Love the amount of gluten free options on the menu for those who are so inclined. Great beer variety with a focus on IPAs, New England IPAs and some sours. Staff was a tad overwhelmed when we were visiting so service was slow at the bar, but it was quite busy so we’ll give them a pass and update after coming back for more delicious beer and tasty food sometime in the near future.
