Stayed here with my husband hoping it would look like the photos while visiting family in Sherman and it was far from that. The location is okay- it’s right on the main road and close to where we needed to be, but it’s a motel at best. There’s a nice backyard area but we didn’t stay out there for long because there were other guests being loud and obnoxious. Would have felt better if they called it a motel vs an “inn”, we felt a little swindled by that. We also called for more towels which seemed to bother the man who brought them to our room. We didn’t even bother asking for help when our second key didn’t work because it seemed like the staff was annoyed by requests. It was a very mid tier motel that is brought down by the staff and dated appearance.

Perfectly nice place. Classic motel with a little bit more polish. I didn't love the bed (who knew you could still buy a coil spring mattress?), and the bathroom in our place could use a little TLC (for example, the large chunk of veneer peeling off the front of the vanity). That said, the room was very clean. The rooms did NOT smell of cleaners and deodorizers like so many motels do. The accommodations were good: microwave, dorm fridge, smart TV, plenty of places to plug in devices, and nice Aveda products in the bathroom. The days were warm but the A/C worked great, without roaring like a jet engine. And in the cooler mornings I loved being able to open the windows, to hear the frogs and birds, and let in the fresh air. A hook on the bathroom door would be a welcome addition, as would a small shelf, to make up for the bathroom's limited counter space for items like a dopp kit. If you're like me and finicky about your mattress firmness, support, and comfort, maybe check with the front desk to see if any of the rooms have something more modern. But if you're one of those who can sleep on a park bench, you'll have no complaints. Other than a few small things that could probably be easily improved, this place is good — and for the cost, it's likely the best option in the New Milford area.

Not a bad stay, room was VERY clean and lady at the front desk was friendly. Only a one night stay, check in was less than 5 mins. We didn't get a river view which was disappointing but no one's fault. There r some really good restaurants near by but nothing is walking distance. A pleasant stay extremely basic and no frills. It's pretty much a place to sleep and recharge

My daughter and I stayed here for the mother-daughter Gilmore Girls trip and I can't say enough good things. From the first moment of walking in the door, the view of the Housatonic River was breathtaking. The beds are gorgeous and so comfortable. The room is very spacious and relaxing. The little soaps provided are premium and smell so good. We will definitely be back. Also, the curtains are powered by a remote, the TV is huge and high quality, the lights are dimmable and create a great ambiance.

We were going to The Elephant’s trunk flea market the next day so we only stayed one night but the room we had was very clean with the exception of an odd smell located only in the corner by the desk, the smell was no where else in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. We had a nice view out of two large windows. I would recommend this place to anyone and would stay here again.
