Wow! 1st time in West Bend and when I passed this place, I knew I had to stop (architecture of building). I wasn't disappointed by the exhibits either, except for the limited, unlabeled glass works. I was first to see the new The American Landscape - Beyond the Horizon exhibit and loved it. The exhibit by high schoolers on Connections was incredibly moving.

Committed to local state artist across a variety of media, a host of regularly free of charge community events, all age activities, gorgeous garden and beautiful modern architecture with thought and purpose built into the design. Also, connected to the walkable and mostly wheel chair accessible downtown area of West Bend by way of gorgeous bridges crossing the MKW River.

United Way of Washington County held a late summer event at the Museum of Wisconsin Art and we were thoroughly impressed. Not only were we thankful to have a temperature-controlled space on a hot summer day, but the staff was incredibly accommodating, making sure every detail was taken care of. They went above and beyond to ensure the event ran smoothly, which made the experience seamless and enjoyable for us and our guests. The venue itself is stunning. The museum’s art-filled spaces were a perfect backdrop for our event, creating an atmosphere that was both sophisticated and welcoming. The Museum of Wisconsin Art offers a unique and elegant setting that’s sure to leave a lasting impression on your guests. We highly recommend MOWA to host your next special occasion.

Great museum to spend some time and see some art. Interesting special exhibits of different artists and cultural forms. The building is large but it's just 2 floors so you can see everything in a relatively short time if it is limited. The building is a cool architectural work of art in itself. I only wish they would rotate more of the art from storage more. I always see Interesting pieces in there, but can't learn much about it when it isn't on display.
