Conveniently located to both Froedert Hospital and American Family Field. Easy access. Very helpful manager. Room very clean and comfortable. Affordable. Next trip to this hospital or Brewers game, I'll book this same hotel. And ... Veteran owned!

Very well kept and very quiet motel. My room was basic but very clean and everything in good working order. I left an item behind and the owner messaged me and said they would mail it back to me at no charge. Will be staying here for future Milwaukee visits. Great friendly service and atmosphere.

While my family and I have lived in the St. Louis area for more than 30 years now, 9 years of my formative life was spent in Brookfield, Wisconsin, a stones-throw from The 40 Winks Inn. While the many restaurants, stores and businesses around it have come, gone, changed and disappeared, one thing remains the same: The hospitality and "it's still here" tradition of The 40 Winks Inn. I've been here twice in the last three months to conclude a family home being prepared for sale and then being sold and each time - I've been able to trust that The 40 Winks Inn would take care of my family. The most-recent visit was this last weekend as the colder temps arrived. We got a great room rate for what I love paying money for - arrival, sleeping, bathing and leaving. That's it. Not a whole lot of frills but everything we experienced was perfectly functional. Is anything in the place brand-spanking new? Absolutely not. Nothing overtly "new" about anything in the place, but what it DID give us was everything we needed for a series of short stays that didn't break the bank and was sprinkled with forthright HELP, kindness and genuine spirit from everyone on staff there. One thing else that few will likely comment about - it's SILENT. We live in a home in a forested area and so we've got tree frogs, owls and other "bumps in the night" that we've gotten used to over the decades living in our home. This city-bound environment was absolutely SILENT around us during the evening (on a Tuesday evening). Just AMAZING sleep, in clean, warm beds, with a small kitchenette (fridge, microwave, countertop area, etc) in our room that had two beds that would easily accommodate 4 and visitors for the day. The bathroom did everything it needed to and I loved having the morning sunshine in the window behind us. A really nice add-on to the SUPERBLY HOT WATER in the place at our beck and call for each of three morning showers before we left. I'm not entirely sure when we will return again to Milwaukee, but we'll always know and share the value, kindness and ULTRA-VALUABLE treasure of The 40 Winks Inn. I didn't have the luck to know it when I was a child, but it's become a warm piece of "home" in a place I made my home many years ago. We will definitely be back and will be telling everyone that needs a safe, efficient, cost-effective place to stay when visiting about it to be sure.
