We really enjoyed our experience here! We ate outside on the back deck which overlooks a brook and waterfall. The service was impeccable, the food was amazing! We cannot wait to come back to try other dishes. I had the chicken tiki masala, and my husband had the seafood pot pie. The chocolate souffle dessert was our favorite! My husband had the seasonal strawberry cheesecake.

The White Horse has been our “go-to” for date night, special occasions and family/friend get togethers for over a decade. I enjoy everything about it. The food is phenomenal, flavorful and unique. I have had almost everything on the menu with the exception of seafood because seafood just isn’t my thing. But everything I have tried from the burgers, steaks, to heartier meals like the Shepard pot pie and chicken pot pie are absolutely divine! It is also vegetarian friendly. The dessert menu is the best part- don’t skip dessert! The atmosphere is ambient, warm and relaxing with a variety of English antiques and a story about each one on the menu. The fireplace is absolute beautiful! The restaurant is always impeccably clean. Service is always on point and efficient. It is such a delight to come here and the quality continues to be just as amazing as when we started going there in 2015. Despite living more than an hour away now, we are still glad to make the trip out. It is so worth it!

We went to the White Horse Tavern for the first time. We’ve heard how good the food is there and had to try it. We each had the Seafood Pot Pie, it was amazing, loaded with lobster, scallops and shrimp. Most of all, our waitress Yana was amazing, she provided excellent service and she was very attentive! Lastly, we ate outside on the patio, the view of the river was very nice and beautiful.

Old English style tavern, rich in history, set on a medium sized creek with a nice outdoor patio. The cheesesteak was delicious! It has mushrooms and hot peppers and Gruyère cheese, very tasty. The seafood pot pie is $42 ouch but inside is a lot of lobster, so you get what you pay for! The setting is nice and comfortable. Staff are nice but inattentive, don’t go if you’re expecting a lot of service. Music is cranked up pretty loud; it’s an eclectic mix of rock and R&B spanning the 60s to the 80s + random James Bond theme music at odd intervals. But the food is so good, I’d go back yes! Recommended.

The atmosphere was so welcoming and beautiful. It has an old timey feel with dim lighting which I enjoyed. I’m excited to try other dishes when their patio is open as it looks like it’ll be beautifully set up.
Our server Jack was wonderful. He was so kind and understanding when the rest of our party arrived late. He was attentive and just simply on top of things. I enjoyed having him as our server.
The food was good. I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie & it was yummy but definitely needed more seasoning. I added salt & pepper as that’s obviously what’s on the table, but it just needed something more. I ended up seasoning it more when I brought home my leftovers.
My husband got a burger and was really excited for it, however when he got it he had me try it because it didn’t really have much flavor, so again lack of seasonings. It tasted charbroiled which was good, but then the meat was just plain from there. One of my friends got the same thing and said the same thing, it was lacking seasoning.
My other friend got the Seafood Pot Pie and with the way it was served it took forever for him to be able to actually eat it as it was overly hot. He didn’t complain about seasoning or say anything other than it was good.
I also got a children’s Chicken Pot Pie to bring home to my daughter and was disappointed when it arrived with a few tater tots thrown into the bowl rather than crust or at least the horse they serve the adult meal with. She also complained about it not being very flavorful. I ended up taking the tater tots out of her chicken pot pie bowl before I left the restaurant and putting them in a separate container so that they weren’t soggy when I got home, but I do wish that this was explained in the menu because that is not what I was expecting and honestly, it was kind of terrible to see. Very disappointing. Just a thought maybe get molds to make the mini horses to put for the kids and then offer tater tots on the side. Don’t just surprise them with tater tots, not all children like that and I don’t see how a potato item is similar in any way to a pot pie crust.
Overall, I did like the restaurant I enjoyed my time there we took photos our server. Jack was wonderful and assisted us with photos as well. I do feel like I have to bring my own seasoning next time because honestly, nothing really stood out. Nothing had its own flavor. It reminded me of the 80s or 90s when nobody seasoned anything. 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
