Cute little eatery, my burger was huge! The real treat was being served by Robin. He was friendly, funny and very accommodating. If you’re passing through it’s worth a stop at Marty’s Cafe.

Cute little coffee shop that is great for a casual coffee or lunch. The turkey wrap was decent and the cinnamon roll was good! Service was friendly and quick and the space was warm and welcoming. I would definitely go back!

I ordered a small tomato mozzarella quiche. It's about the size of what would come out of a standard muffin tin. The price on the menu was $5.25 (which I thought was high). I get rung up and it comes to over $8. I asked how we get from $5.25 to over $8. I'm told the price increased and they never updated the menu. The lady ringing me out gave me a 10% discount, but still I was paying over $7. I feel the menu price should have been honored. Now to the quality of the quiche. I'd rate it "meh". Honestly I could do better myself at home in my kitchen and I'm no culinary genius. Get it together, Marty's. Charging over $8 for something that couldn't have cost more than a buck to throw together is robbery. And that's how I felt after leaving- like I'd been robbed. One sandwich I thought was decent was their pulled pork, but now that's off the menu- replaced with some brisket/ pork combo with a slightly bitter sauce that I don't care for. Sorry Marty's, you're striking out for me lately.

Everyone talks about visiting Washington Depot if you’re a fan of Gilmore Girls and are looking for your nostalgia fix. I don’t know much about that, but what I do know is that Marty’s is a “must stop” if you’re traveling through. Marty’s is what every town dreams of having—a quintessential cafe to have great food, relax, and hang out with friends. It’s the perfect spot to sit for hours and soak in the sunlight. I ordered a Short Iced Vanilla Latte and a Tomato and Mozzarella Quiche. While my latte was delectable, I didn’t love the quiche. To me, it tasted “eggy” and I wish the mozzarella and tomato continued through the quiche. I think with that and perhaps the addition of a crust, I would have liked the quiche better. Now, don’t get me wrong. I think Marty’s has high quality food, I just think I ordered the wrong item for me. In total, my order was about $18. I think the food might have been slightly overpriced, but I’m happy to visit Marty’s again for the experience.

Marty’s Cafe is such a charming little spot, perfect for a casual meal in the heart of Washington. I ordered the chicken parm panini, and while the flavors were good, there wasn’t quite enough sauce, so the marinara got a little lost beneath the cheese, chicken, and bread. Even so, it was still a tasty lunch, and the beautiful weather made it even better — their outdoor tables are a lovely place to sit and relax. Marty’s has a cozy, small-town vibe that fits perfectly with the character of Washington — a town that helped inspire the setting for Gilmore Girls. A few small tweaks to the sandwich, and this would have easily been a five-star experience.
