We stayed at the Inn at Mount Pleasant for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is full of character and feels more like a peaceful country retreat than a typical hotel. We stayed in the third-floor room with a separate entrance, and it felt more like a cozy loft studio apartment than a guest room. It has been thoughtfully remodeled with modern amenities while retaining a rustic charm, with gorgeous views of green fields disappearing into the woods. The inn is surrounded by beautiful woods, wildflower-filled meadows, and walking trails, making it easy to slow down and enjoy nature. If you enjoy birdwatching, you are in for a treat. We saw a wonderful variety of birds around the property, but the sight of goldfinch flocks rising from the lush fields like small bright suns and disappearing into the blue sky was especially memorable. The inn itself has a fascinating history. Learning about the restoration of the farmhouse and barn added another layer of appreciation to our stay. It is clear that a great deal of care has gone into preserving the property’s character while creating comfortable accommodations for guests. The hosts were warm and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. It felt less like staying at a hotel and more like visiting family. The setting was peaceful, and the location worked perfectly for our visit. If you are looking for a unique place with charm, history, and beautiful natural surroundings, I highly recommend the Inn at Mount Pleasant. We would gladly stay here again.
