My daughter was struggling with blending sounds together to be able to form words and read. I did research online and found top-rated tutors in the area. Joanne had five stars and what she described on her website as her experience tugged on my heart strings and felt very similar to my daughter’s experience. Since day 1, I knew made the right decision to utilize Joanne. She has been so warm and welcoming to us and has truly become a family friend. She treats my daughter with love and kindness. Since utilizing Joanne for reading tutoring, my daughter has had 146% improvement in her I-reading test scores at school. I am very happy with her results and the beautiful relationship I have seen blossom between her and Joanne! Strongly recommend.

We found Joanne and Bright IDEA Reading via a lucky Google search. The HC is local for us which made it our first click. After reading the reviews and exchanging a couple emails with Joanne we were very interested in the assessment for our 7 year old. She has enjoyed working with Joanne since that assessment and looks forward to the zoom meetings. We have seen an increase in her reading comprehension- but more importantly her confidence in reading new materials. Although we have seen a large inporevement and advanced assessment in the 12 weeks since starting we plan to continue with sessions until our daughter is more than a grade level ahead. I would recommend to other families and will have our youngest assessed when the time is right.

We were fortunate to find Joanne through word of mouth at a parent group we are a part of. My son had been struggling with letters/reading and keeping his attention when learning. He would often give up in class and not engage. Entering 1st grade this past year, he was assessed at a pre-kindergarten level after the summer break. Since working with Joanne he has improved dramatically and now enjoys reading and takes the initiate to read on his own. We have been able to identify some learning disabilities and have the tools to support him. He is now at grade level and is set up to continue to do well. Working woth Joanne has been such a positive experience, not only for the improvements in my sons learning, but also the confidence he has. We are so grateful!

Our daughter HATED reading! Joann has shown her ways of having fun with it and understanding things differently than how she is being taught at school. She really enjoys her time online with her. Our daughter has shown great improvement over the past year working with Joann. I would highly recommend Joann! . She makes every lesson fun and can tell she loves what she does!!
