Harbour Village Campground and Water Park

The location of this RV park is pretty close to things in door county. It's easy access and a short drive to most areas. The people there are very nice. They are a bit short-staffed I believe. Our main issue is that the sites are not well maintained. Foliage is well overgrown. Lots of low hanging branches. I had to clear them off just to keep them from being on top of our camper. We've been there a couple of times. The pool is nice and so is the beach. There are lots of fun activities.

This is an absolutely wonderful campground! It was so nice to see all the families riding around on golf carts, and kids riding their bikes and having fun all over. We had an absolute blast! Families cooking out, laughing and having a ball!

We have been going here for the last 5 years and every year it gets worse but cost keeps going up! We went with a large group of friends and found out from them after we checked in that there is now an extra cost for the inflatables in the pond. We were not told of this when we booked the reservation, prior to arrival or at check in. When I went to the office to discuss this the woman there was extremely rude and dismissive. She stated that the policy changed a few months ago after our reservation was made and they couldn’t call everyone that had a reservation. I said a simple email would have been nice. Later in our stay this same women was making fun of one of our friends who was struggling with her daughter. To make matters worse when we were at the pond my son’s wristband fell off and he was told that he needed to go back to the office to get a new one. While leaving the pond another employee said he had to leave his life jacket there. When he returned to the pond just two minutes later he was told they were now over capacity and could not go in and they would not give him his life jacket back. They had a ton of life jackets just sitting there. My son has autism and was told he could not be with his family or friends and do an activity that we paid extra for! This obviously caused him to have a panic attack and had to go to our camper to settle down. This ruined our entire trip!

No communication or transparency. If you are going for the amenities, do not plan on them being available. This was our fourth year camping at Harbour Village and it seems each year things have gotten worse as far as upkeep and management. This trip, the kiddie splash pad, the pond, and the hot tub were all closed. No email was sent ahead of our trip, no offer for cancellation or a discount. And, the biggest miss to me is that at check in, no one even told us they were closed for the weekend when we were there in person getting our paperwork and wrist bands. We had little kids eager to play in the sand and use the kiddie splash pad. The hot tub is waiting for a new motor. The splash pad is in need of resealing. And the pond is now fenced in and they are installing a new inflatable system and from what we gathered it will be $10 a day or $15 a visit to get a secondary wrist band and use the pond. On top of no hot tub or splash pad, the second day at the pool one of the little slides and the lily pads were roped off and closed for use with no explanation. And both the adult only pool (first picture) and the waterpark pool were not very clean and had visible sediment and tree droppings/leaves in them. The life guards were also very immature. They were snickering and talking over the radio about groups at the pool, kids too short to ride the big slides, and it was incredibly obvious they were talking amongst themselves about young women and their bodies at the pool. The north end bathrooms were dirty for how few people were there this time. I would say the overnight spots were 75-80% vacant this trip, which has never been the case before. The women’s room had pasta on the floors and counters and I called maintenance but it was still like that most of the day. It also had two empty paper towel dispensers on Sunday. My husband said the men’s room had clogged toilets almost every time he went in. While we were there, Harbour Village posted about a discount for buying so many nights and getting a night free on Facebook. People started commenting asking if it applied for existing reservations and then comments were removed and commenting was disabled. Overall, it seems like if you are not a permanent site, you do not receive respect or communication, even though we paid a significant amount of month for our group to be there for the weekend. In my opinion, every paying customer deserves the same honest communication and respect about the amenities they signed up for.

We had a blast this weekend. Everything was amazing - the staff is spectacular, friendly and accommodating! The sites are great. People who camp there respect quiet hours. Our kids 3, 6, 8, & 13 & or nieces and nephews 13, 15 & 16 had fun also. We will definitely be back!!!
