Relax just off Highway 144, steps from Cedar Lake
Called this place and asked about nightly rates and if she had weekly rates, she right away said they don’t do weekly and she’s closed today, I simply asked when she planned on opening and she said she doesn’t talk to people early in the morning. I said well you’re running a motel so I’d expect someone to be there to talk, then she hung up, lol I don’t understand why this woman runs a motel.
Didn't use the motel we stopped at the pub part of it very nostalgic old 60s 70s bar and everything except the bottles look that old lol there's even an actual juke box in the corner 8 plays for a fifty cent piece. Place smells a little musty but it's clean and at $2.50 for a jack on the rocks you can't go wrong lol. We didn't have any food but local people say the hamburgers and fresh cut fries are great we'll definetly be trying the food soon we looked at the menu and the food is as inexpensive as the drinks if the food turns out to be as good as they claim this is going to be a real jem of a dive bar find
I called to inquire about rates and length of stays they offer and the lady cut me off and said they do not offer extended stays because they do not have microwaves or fridges in the rooms. So then I proceeded to ask for the price for a nightly stay and she said, and I quote, "I won't even go there." and immediately hung up on me. Not sure why someone would be so rude to a potential guest who was calling to see about spending money to stay there!?!?!?
I called for nightly rates and to find out if they offered extended stay rates and before I could even book a stay I was treated very poorly..The woman on the phone cut me off while I was in the middle of trying to speak to her and very rudely said "No we do not offer extended stay" so as I proceeded to ask about a nightly rate she refused to hear anything else that I had to say and while talking over me said "No I will not book you for a night and I will not give you extended stay" and then hung up on me without even saying goodbye!! Like she could not have been anymore obnoxiously rude!! I still cannot believe how poorly I was treated just for trying to find out how much their rates were..I have worked in customer service positions my entire life and in my opinion it is absolutely unbelievable that someone who is supposed to be running a business would think it was at all ok to treat customers in such a way..
We pulled in to this pub after full day of riding our motorcycles. Miss Sue and some of the locals were very inviting and welcoming when we got there. Her service and chit chat was fabulous. Finished a great day of riding enjoying her well poured beverages. Rooms were clean and very adequate. Great 46 dollars spent
