10 stars if I could. Was a long two weeks of appts with other offices, and appt day was upon us. First impression, I was upset. Not how I wanted to feel on extraction day. I had received new patient paperwork via text, filled everything out and sent back. Received confirmation that forms were received. Was told I needed to fill out again since they didn’t receive anything from me. Had to look up my medications and fill out paperwork again. Once I was called back and in the room, my nervousness was halted by both Morgan and Dr Wade Schultz. I was told we were done and I was shocked! Never felt anything, I knew things were being done, but no discomfort whatsoever. Thank you so much for being so personable and a very caring Dr and Tech, you make a great team and if I ever need to return for anything, I would most definitely request the both of you!!

I am feeling well! Thank you very much. I am so grateful for your skilled hands. One of my ears was plugged for a couple months and it popped and drained this morning! I can hear out of that ear again! And the feeling of yucky festering teeth is draining away too. Thank you again. I would highly recommend you guys to anyone! Super gentle and kind!

I had a wisdom tooth removed yesterday by Doctor Kalmuck and I am delighted with my treatment. Dr. Kalmuck was very kind and personable. He explained everything that was going to happen including a range of possible negative outcomes. That level of honesty is admirable. I don't remember the name of his assistant but she was also very easy to talk to and very kind and thorough. While many people speak of the "horrors" of going to the dentist, there was not the slightest hint of any of that. From the three numbing shots I received and the frank explanation of the number of roots on the tooth and the reason for more than just a simple removal, I never had any pain of any kind. None. Thank you so much Dr. Kalmuck and your associates. It was a truly wonderful experience in all respects!

Like many people, I have a significant fear of dental procedures. A few years ago, I had my wisdom teeth and another tooth removed at Sheboygan Oral Surgery. Recently, I needed two additional teeth extracted. I went into the appointment feeling very anxious. The initial interaction with the doctor was fine; however, the actual extraction experience was extremely difficult for me. I understand that the doctor was performing his job, but I wish there had been more empathy and communication throughout the process. At the beginning of the appointment, I was asked whether I wanted laughing gas. I explained that I wasn’t sure, as I had never had it before. Given my anxiety and the condition of my teeth shown on the X-rays, I would have appreciated a clearer recommendation on what option would provide the most comfort. Ultimately, I proceeded with only local anesthesia, as I had done with my wisdom teeth, and remained awake for the procedure. One of the teeth was broken and had an abscess. I later learned that abscessed teeth can be very difficult to numb, which explained the significant pain I experienced during the extraction. Knowing that ahead of time would have helped me mentally prepare for what to expect. The second tooth, a back molar, was not as painful but involved substantial pressure and noise from cutting and removing the tooth. The proximity to my ear made the sounds particularly distressing and heightened my anxiety. Overall, the experience felt overwhelming and traumatic for me. I believe clearer communication about what to expect, along with more reassurance and empathy during the procedure, would have made a meaningful difference. If I had understood the full expectations and potential discomfort ahead of time, I don’t think the experience would have been as distressing.

Dental offices are usually. Not the most popular places. I must admit S O M A has a completely different approach. My first time to need an extraction in my 89 years . My experience was completely different and relaxing. Dr Anderson made me feel relaxed and in just a short time, I was out of there and home..I followed the instructions and didn’t have to use anything needed need any. Need anything else.
