Park with a boardwalk along the river and marina views
In June 2024, this is where I met my girlfriend. I was killing time and just sitting on the bench on the north side of the river, looking out at the water, and she rolls up in her wheelchair huffing and puffing on her way home from the Y. And we just made small talk and talked for about an hour before getting each other's numbers. It's really a beautiful place, and I'm reminded of that day every time we take a walk together!
Excellent for watching the Marina boats during boating season. In addition, the place is relaxing and the restrooms are very well cleaned.
We drove through the park for the Christmas lights. Great viewing and variety! It has become a tradition. We have not been there in the summer, perhaps in the new year. It's a beautiful park.
Beautiful park and views of Lake Michigan. Great boardwalk along the river with access to bars and restaurants. Always good for walks with my dog!
It was a beautiful day out for a ride, vehicle troubles took me to a bench across the street from the old 'Harbor Lights Bar'. What a view it was gorgeous! The ducks & seagulls were diving for fish, they were eating very well. The big old storage warehouse is gone, so now you can see the Coastguard Station & port to the Riverfront. Very serine. 🌈😊
