As a walk-in, I was looking for a a late afternoon chair I wouldn’t have to wait too long for. With an inordinate amount of hair, a cut for me is not for just any barber. I was talked out of a high and tight crew cut, and put at ease as I was assured he knew what to. From the moment the clippers started removing considerable length from the sides, I knew I was in good hands. I’m less than 20 minutes,, my mop of thick, course hair was short(finally!), but not so much as to look like a military buzz job. I got the “George Clooney!!l

My husband has been a loyal customer for at least 2 years now, and we've been noticing a steady decline in the haircuts he's been getting, but this last haircut takes the cake. He went in today with a photo of how he wants his hair and beard trimmed, and came out with a totally different haircut instead. His beard was considerably shorter by several inches than asked, and trimmed erratically and unevenly on the sides. The back of his neck was not faded, much less cut evenly. Under his chin (fortunately hidden!) there is a large chunk cut out by the clippers. But I think what took the cake for me were several long mustache hairs that obviously hung over his lip that we had to trim for him at home. Apparently the barber in question said to "trust her" and that it was "summer" and she was "feeling creative." To me this is the most unprofessional behavior. However when a customer comes in requesting something specific it is rude and frankly outrageous to decide they want something else instead. Furthermore the lack of clean lines spoke to a lack of attention to detail and care for the work that they do. This was especially disheartening as during the visit they disparaged another barber in town. Further evidence of unprofessional behavior. At the end of the day- is it a haircut and will it grow back? Yes. But if you want to know if you should visit Mavericks Barbershop consider if you want to be listened to or not. Or, I suppose, if you want chunks taken out of your facial hair without your consent.

I've been visiting Mavericks Barbershop for awhile now and I gotta say, it is always a top-notch experience. From the first moment I walked in, I could tell this was a place that took its craft seriously. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable, and I was immediately put at ease by the laid-back atmosphere during my first visit. This place is a legit barbershop. I always book my appointments online and never have to wait long before I'm in the chair. Valerie always takes the time to understand what I'm looking for in my haircut. The attention to detail is always impressive - she makes sure to check in with me throughout the process to ensure I am happy with the length, shape, and style. And the finished product? Absolutely spot-on. I now have a new pro for my haircuts and I visit Valerie about every two weeks or so. I highly recommend Mavericks to anyone looking for a top-quality cut in a relaxed and friendly environment. Cheers to the team at Maverick's - you all really know how to do it right. Guys, do yourself a favor and book online way in advance. It's worth it.

Needed a haircut in a pinch and found this gem of a place. I've finally found my new establishment to receive a haircut after my previous stylist retired after 20 years. Theresa did a fantastic job and I definitely will be back!!
