This was my first meeting with Michelle Schmitz. I had no idea what to expect as I had never seen a nutritionist before. Scheduling was very easy. Michelle had obviously reviewed my record very thoroughly, even going months back. She understood all of my needs. She was extremely prepared with notes, printouts, and documentation during our visit. She took time to explain everything thoroughly, addressed every one of my many questions, and was extremely patient and understanding. She recognized the things that stressed me the most and took care to address them. The visit was worth the time and I came away with a lot of very good information to use moving forward. I highly recommend Michelle!

The team at St. Nicholas saved my father’s life. After his emergency surgery, the rest of the care team took exceptionally good care of my dad. All of the ICU team and then the 4th floor care team were just wonderful! Thank you for giving my father another chance to see his family and his friends. ❤️❤️❤️😢

The most unfriendly staff I’ve ever met, ranging from the front desk associates to the nursing staff. My husband hooked up to an IV and BP monitoring called to use the restroom. The CNA working night shift told him you’re independent, you can go to the bathroom yourself. Doesn’t offer assistance and leaves. So, husband goes to get up on his own and smacks his head on the corner of the IV pump- has no idea he even broke skin. He proceeds to the bathroom and goes back bed. When he gets up to go to the bathroom again a couple hours later he sees in the mirror blood running down into his hairline from lying supine- now that’s not the problem, the problem is THREE different medical personal have now been in her room since him hitting his head and NOT A SINGLE ONE NOTICED BLOOD RUNNING DOWN HIS FOREHEAD?! Night shift nurse came to apply an IV to his hand, forgot things, left the room and returned- now that’s also not the problem, the problem is HE LEFT THE ROOM WEARING HIS GLOVES AND NEVER CHANGED THEM- no proper hand hygiene, no glove change, NOTHING and then just continued to administer the IV with his now dirty gloves. First shift nurse, extremely rude. Responded to call light like she was beyond annoyed for being bothered. Husband stated, something feels wrong, something isn’t right and her response was basically “you're fine”. Made an unwarranted comment about, “good thing there’s a nurse in the room huh” speaking about herself. The basic necessities were not even given to my husband- a tooth brush, deodorant, a brush, not even a urinal. My husband didn’t brush his teeth until after 2pm and that was because I went to his vehicle to get his personal necessities. Some of your nursing staff need to reflect on their careers in the nursing field because what I witnessed was NONE of the core values I was taught or pledged in nursing school or my nursing career. You should be ashamed.

This was my second time giving birth in this hospital and I can say that they have the most amazing labor and delivery nursing staff! They definitely made it hard to want to go home with how well they take care of you! I was so happy to also see Jenny and Michelle still working there especially because they were both there for the both of my first! The hospital is lucky to have such amazing nurses!

Saturday night 11:30 pm it started as we were waiting help for my special needs son to simply be looked at after slip and fall that twisted his legs . we kept being pushed back.the nurses did not even come in and check on him after the first hour ..saw them sitting and talking to each other.I asked how long ?a male guy nurse said" the more important patient needing help" How would he know he has not yet been seen !! Stay at ur station sir you know nothing including being akind or comforting nurse.This place should be closed.ok now going on 7.5 hours had to ask repeatedly to how long can an x-ray take? Can my son have something for pain ??!! You got him on and off that bed 2 time for x-rays but nothing for pain.Turns out Both Legs were FRACTURED!! Poor GUY.5AM and still NO HELP!! Doctor at desk just talking to each other..6 hours in this ER sad experience.To Add insult to injury He had been missing diagnosed .(.No spine problem just CP .)
