Responding to various plumbing issues, including water heater replacement
I have hired Edgewater several times and for different plumbing issues/projects and am never disappointed. This time, the old water heater took its unexpected last breath and needed replacing. Great customer service (thanks Jim), reasonable pricing, doing the work right the first time, and quick response time!
This place is horrible and not upfront with cost, they charge you the regular labor per hour and on top of that a ridiculous labor fee to do something as simple as setting up the plumbing under my kitchen sink. It was easy I already drilled holes and cut out the area for the new sink they charged me for the regular plumber and they charged me for the apprentice that was with him. Only 100$ in parts but also charged over 700$ for a labor fee! When called to inquire about this they said the plumber said it was “extensive” work which it was not. I will NEVER use this place again. Paid close to 1000$ to have them do a different plumber quoted me at 300$. Not worth it. Go to Kimmie plumbing instead!
Edgewater Plumbing is my go-to plumber for all the properties I manage, both commercial and residential. I have presented them with some very challenging situations and not one has been left unresolved to date. From friendly office staff to very hard working and knowledgeable crews, Jeremiah is doing things right. Give them a call.
Scott arrived on time and did a great job. He was friendly and personable. We had discussed earlier that he would need to create an access panel where none existed and this was done carefully with minimal mess and minimal time and effort to repair the area. Great Job! Had used Edgewater prior to this job and will call them again for plumbing issues.
I had a plumbing emergency. I called around to try and get a plumber to my house as soon as possible. Everyone was telling me it would be a couple of hours. The guy from Edgewater told me that they didn't have anybody who could come, he was sorry. He told me he could try and call some of his crews to see if they could squeeze me in, but that I should keep calling around. He was very polite about it. A few minutes later he calls back, one of his guys finished early and he could be to my house in 15 minutes. The plumbers arrived promptly and fixed the problem quickly. They took the time to show me exactly what had failed and how to prevent the problem from happening again. They were extremely courteous and informative. I thought my bill would be huge, but it was actually 25% cheaper than what I had been quoted by anyone else I called that day. They were prompt, helpful, polite, and comparatively cheap. I will call them first from now on and I would recommend that everyone do the same.
