Fresh, made-to-order Mexican food and coffee in Sheboygan
Had to assume food was a 4 star because we never ordered. Came two years ago looking for Mexican pan and desert and left disappointed. Today we tried again, this time for coffee. You can't order with the staff and must use the tablet. The tablet won't let you order extra shots of espresso and doesn't provide details of any of the drinks.
This was such a great find! The food was so fresh, made-to-order. Everything tasted homemade. The owner and her daughters were so polite and welcoming, and there were even some toys to entertain the kids while we waited for our food.
What a wonderful hidden gem on Union! I first came here for coffee and elotes with my husband and toddler the other day. We enjoyed our food and we really appreciated how accommodating it was here to littles. They have a high chair, coloring books, and a little table with some toys. So rare to find a place where we feel a playful toddler is welcomed! I came back for a breakfast by myself and got what’s pictured here. It was all hot, delicious, and beautifully served. It’s so refreshing to be in a place that uses beautiful dishware like this and not minimalist, mass produced dishware. All of this honestly makes the whole experience feel like you’re coming in to a family home for a treat and not like you’re just another customer. Plus, the family/staff running the place interact with you and ask your preferences while they’re making your food. It’s beautifully personal. I also really appreciated the music and decor. It does the heart so much good to see a place be open about their faith. 🤍
This is a nice café, they have much more than meets the eye. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They told me that they go to the farmers market Saturday and Wednesdays. Give them a try!
I've driven and biked past Casita a few times in Sheboygan and one day I decided to walk there to see how it was. Long story short I was not disappointed in the slightest! Service is great, friendly abd attentive, no problems there at all! Inside and outside Casit, a pleasant air hangs around, in a clean well maintained environment to boot! Food wise, its a VERY SNALL but good abd tasty menu. No problems, Castaneda Cafe is a nice little local spot i would definitely recommend to people who like those kind of environments!
