Truly refreshing. My kiddo and I are neurodivergant as heck and this felt like an oasis to enjoy and explore art. The bridge between curation and art is visible in the most delicious way. Highly recommend folks come and Indulge themselves in the whimsy and wonder of the Kohler Art Preserve.

My expectations were exceeded. This little museum punches above its weight. I've been to similar museums in larger cities like Chicago and New York, and this is one that could compete. First, the building itself is a very beautiful work of architecture and is alone worth the visit. Second, there is a larger amount of folk art that you would expect, with very different styles. Overall, I would love to return again when I'm in Sheboygan. I think the only two things I could suggest adding would be a cafe with light food/beverage options, and a room for temporary/rotating exhibits (unless I misremember, all the exihibits were permanent).

VERY unique art museum. Fabulously clean and tidy. Super friendly staff. Be sure to view all three floor. Quite contemporary. Be sure to check out the artist-created bathrooms on the 1st and 3rd floors.

Such an inspiring place with free admission! I learned so much here and it is such a beautiful environment. Loved the staircase lights in hobo signs and the most beautiful public restrooms I've ever seen. The environment is extremely inclusive both of underrepresented artists and visitors.
