Two runways and Aviation Heritage Center with flight simulator
Had some meetings in Koehler, so we decided to use this FBO. Called Allie, she was amazing! Got us a hangar for our Citation and made the check in process a breeze. She gives customer service a good name .... she needs a raise! The line crew were professional and timely. We will go here again, great experience. N34RL
Great FBO with 2 runways! Friendly staff and directly next to Kohler. Very convenient and nice amenities. 10/10 recommend touching down here for a round of golf at Whistling Straits, American Club visit, and Kohler Water Spa, Yoga on The Lake, and overall Kohler Hospitality experience, with Sheboygan minutes away.
It's been years since I've been there, and so much has changed! It's free to the public, although donations are greatly appreciated. There is so much to see, with their displays on aviation history and the history of Kohler Memorial Airport. A wonderful library with model displays donated by various families and people. I highly recommend going!
This is a great airport to visit, or--for you pilots--fly into. The Aviation Heritage Center is a great airport museum, including a Redbird flight simulator, an exhibit dedicated entirely to North Central Airlines (a staple of Wisconsin's aviation history), and a balcony for watching the planes on the ramp. On the other end of the airport, there's Burrows Aviation, which provides services for pilots flying in. This airport has great services for pilots and excellent facilities, including pilot-controlled lighting and self-serve or Burrows' fuel. I highly recommend visiting the Heritage Center if you travel here!
Free to enter, but donations welcome and would suggest because it's pretty cool! Really cool to learn about the airport, and all the different airplanes and machines that have flown in and out of the area. Also get to go on the tarmac and see a plane up close and personal. We even got to watch the Trojans take off from the observation deck, and right next to us on the tarmac. It was a really awesome experience. We just happened to find it on Google, but a must see if you're in the area!
