A natural gem worth visiting at any time of year for hiking, birdwatching, and learning about native ecosystems. You'll find rare native plants, ephemeral ponds full of singing frogs, and ample meandering trails to explore through woodlands, prairies, and wetlands. Tons of birds and wildlife and educational opportunities for kids. Because this is a natural area, I believe dogs are not permitted except for service animals.

Stunning spot with lots of space to explore + boardwalks!- my personal favorite. My 1.5 year old loved running up and down hills, climbing stairs, smelling flowers, and getting muddy. We didn't see the sand area until we were leaving...I guess we will have to come back!

Great nature area, lots of frogs, ponds, turtles, hiking trails. Hardly any other people there. The restrooms are inside which is nice and a bubbler for water. You do have to pay to walk the trails, but it is worth it.
