When Ryan moved to OHW, we followed without a second thought because of how fantastic his knowledge, approach and care are towards his patients. Our whole family has seen Ryan over the past couple of years, and the results have genuinely changed how we think about our bodies. My teenage sons play football, and they'd walk into appointments tight and worn down after practice. They'd walk out looser, in better moods, and sometimes completely pain-free. That shift alone is remarkable! Ryan doesn't just address what hurts - he looks at the whole picture, including stress, mental health, and how everything in the body connects. Every session is tailored and thoughtful, and he brings real listening, patience and understanding to every single appointment. One thing that still amazes me: my boys have slightly curved spines, and with Ryan's targeted stretch work, the curvature actually decreased by multiple degrees. My son nicknamed one of the key stretches "the Zebra" - it has absolutely nothing to do with zebras, but mention it to Ryan and he'll know exactly what you mean. That kind of specific, personalized care is what sets him apart. I personally came in with neck tightness and hip pain I had basically written off as just part of life. What I didn't realize was that hours of sitting at a desk every day was quietly doing real damage to my hips and lower back - and I had no idea until Ryan explained what was actually happening. It turns out I had also lost a significant amount of neck range of motion over 15 years without realizing it. Recovery wasn't just about showing up to appointments, though. Ryan is honest with you about that. The stretches he recommended only started making a real difference when I committed to doing them consistently between sessions. It's a two-way road, and he'll tell you that directly - he can do the work in the clinic, but you have to show up for yourself at home too. Once I did that for myself, the change was real. The hip pain eased, the range of motion in my neck came back, and I started to actually understand what my body had been trying to tell me for years. Also, I used to take ibuprofen almost daily for headaches. During one of my first appointments, Ryan identified exactly which muscles were behind the headaches (besides that I need to drink more water) - and taught me the stretches to address it myself. I haven't needed ibuprofen in over a year. Ryan once said something that has stuck with me "What you do in this decade shapes how you feel in the next one". That perspective changed how I approach my own health. Even after graduating from weekly appointments, I still come in monthly because I have seen firsthand what consistent care does - and I don't want to lose that. As a mom who has spent years searching for quality care providers for her family, I can say without hesitation that Ryan is one of the best I have ever found! If you're dealing with pain, stiffness, headaches, sports recovery, posture issues, or anything that affects how you move and feel in your own body by someone who will help you without shame or judgement, only kindness and care - this is where you want to go and Ryan is who you want to see!

I am beyond angry and deeply disappointed. My mother was expected to walk through snow- and ice-covered walkways using a walker immediately following a knee replacement. The attached photos show the exact conditions patients were required to navigate just to enter the building. This is not a minor inconvenience. It is a serious safety hazard. Any fall in these conditions could have caused catastrophic injury, undone surgical outcomes, or required emergency care. For an orthopedic and physical therapy facility, this level of negligence is unacceptable. The irony of treating mobility-impaired patients while failing to provide safe, accessible entryways is staggering. Proper snow and ice removal is not optional. It is a basic responsibility. If this is how patients are welcomed, I strongly question the organization’s commitment to patient safety. No one recovering from surgery should ever be put in this position. Do better…before someone gets seriously hurt. ______________ Thank you for your response. I appreciate the acknowledgment and your stated commitment to patient safety. That said, I do want to offer some constructive feedback. While I understand that the snow and ice removal issue was related to a building services vendor, the responsibility for patient safety ultimately rests with the facility itself. This was not an early-morning situation — by the time my mother arrived later in the afternoon, conditions were still unsafe, which suggests there was ample opportunity to address the issue. In a setting that serves post-operative and mobility-impaired patients, there should be an immediate contingency plan when a vendor fails to perform. Borrowing a shovel or salt from a neighboring business, sending staff to purchase basic supplies across the street, or temporarily assisting patients into the building would have demonstrated proactive care and accountability. Vendor issues happen. What matters most is how the situation is handled in real time, especially when patient safety is at risk. I hope this experience leads to clearer escalation procedures and on-the-spot decision-making so that no patient recovering from surgery is ever put in that position again. I truly want to believe your commitment to patient safety is more than a statement, and that future patients will see that reflected in action.
