First of all, I do want to say, the guy at the front desk was pleasant, but the room was stellar in its uniqueness. However, when we proceeded upstairs to our room, I enjoyed envisioning myself playing hopscotch on the trail of mud stained footprints across the carpet and up the stairs. When we got to the room, there were only minimal stains which was nice. The bed was very comfortable and only sagged in the middle so as long as you slept hanging off the bed it was perfect. When we moved the table away from the wall to eat snacks on, there was only a small amount of mold which was surprising. The crayon drawing on back of the door felt very inspired, as if channeling Cy Twombly. Later we ventured to the lobby to visit the vending machine. Two Oreos for $1 is an amazing bargain. I only wished I had brought more singles. I particularly enjoyed sharing the single sliver of soap with my spouse for not only hand washing, but also both showers. I did find it quaint that the hair dryer had memories of previous room tenants on it. The various clumps made me wonder who might have stayed here in the past. Overall I will say that our room was…there. Motel 6 - they left a light on, but why?
