I think I was here once a very long time ago. It's off the main road, Hwy 167, and the sign is small, so unless you're already planning to go there, chances are you won't notice it. Came here with my brother for breakfast. Food: I'm not very traditional when it comes to breakfast, so I like a menu that has a few interesting items. I found several great choices on this menu and decided on the Avocado Morning Benedict. I find that hollandaise sauce can sometimes be a bit overwhelming, so I asked for it on the side. It didn't take long for the food to arrive. Everything was hot, the portions were generous, and the food was nicely seasoned. The eggs were cooked over easy, with the yolks still runny. The avocado and spinach were fresh and served on a toasted English muffin that was nicely buttered. It was an excellent choice. The accompanying American fries got an upgrade with cheese and fried onions. Absolutely delicious! This will probably be my go-to breakfast when I return. Service: We got there right when they opened at 7 a.m. There were already a few other tables seated when we arrived. The service was super friendly and efficient. We quickly got our water, coffee and tea, along with the menus. We needed some time with the menu, along with some necessary small talk, and our server checked back a couple of times without ever making us feel rushed. It was a very relaxed meal. Atmosphere: With the log exterior and large front porch, my first thought was Cracker Barrel. The inside, however, feels a bit more upscale than CB. The interior is nicely furnished, with plenty of booths and tables. There are also tables outside on the porch if you'd rather sit outdoors. The overall design has a country feel and makes for a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a place I'd return to.
