Good launch facilities, appropriate for the size of the lake. As of 2025, daily non-resident launch fee is $8.00 per watercraft (two place PWC trailer is technically $16 if both watercraft are launched). Seasonal launch pass is $80. On weekends, get here early as the lot fills up quickly on good weather days. Since only 12 boats are allowed to be launched at a time (for safety, you wouldn't want to be on the lake if it weren't restricted), you can end up waiting for a good part of the day to get on the water. Slow-no-wake hours are 7pm-10am daily, so if fishing or kayaking is your thing, come early in the morning or in the evening and you can enjoy the peacefulness. While there is no speed limit at the time of this review, the lake is often patrolled on weekends by the county sheriff with cameo appearances by the DNR. In other words, watch your wake and follow the rules as this lake is indeed watched. The adjacent park is a great place to picnic, features a shelter with public restrooms. There are several piers for short term use. Also note that nonresident parking is not free here. Non-motorized watercraft that can be carried are subject to the $8.00 parking fee for park usage if you park in the lot. The village has all the streets marked as no parking for about two blocks in all directions to ensure that you use the lot.

Launch is $8. And for that you get a shallow launch with a pier that would barely be adequate for a house. It's too narrow, too short. It has no cleats, and a broken bumper on one side.

The good: ample parking, 2 launch ramps, dock, and large adjacent park with bathrooms. The bad: launch ramps are cement slabs but are completely covered with sand, so much that they aren’t as deep as intended. The dock should be at least 50% longer - you’ll need two people to launch and land here as tying boat to the dock will interfere with trailer backing. Overall, better than most launch facilities on lakes this size.
