Authentic Mexican food with huge portions and a grocery section
This was in a gas station off the side of the highway. Not much to look at from the outside, but one of the most delicious pit stops we have ever made! The portions were huge, the taste far surpassed Chipotle, and the prices were better than Taco Bell. We actually stopped at a Taco Bell before we came here and our app order was going to add up to more than $70, so we left. Our order here was around $50 for 6 people.
I'm not sure if this is still a restaurant or not. All of the reviews are from a few months ago. I stopped in around noon. There is still a large menu above the register, but there are no prices on anything, only pictures. I asked if I could order some tacos, but the lady at the counter only said no before going back to staring at her phone. Didn't smell like food at all, no other indications they were cooking or serving food. Extremely limited grocery items too. I've always had good luck at the other locations but have no idea what is going on here.
The burritos are just lovely! The crew there really knows what they are doing because my partner is very hard to impress when it gives to burritos and he is obsessed with their burritos!! Love it! The staff mostly speaks Spanish so don't show up asking a lot of questions unless you speak it too. Their little grocery store is perfect! There are vegetables and dairy products along with fun candy and plenty of drink options! Edit: they've now added more items to their menu and their Dorilocos are not to be missed! This has become our favorite mexican food shop ever and their fresh produce is still plentiful! Love the direction they have been going! The Dorilocos is a walking taco made in an entire normal sized dorito bag! I'm in love! Plentiful for one person also easily big enough to share for sure!!
Really delicious food made to order. Was insanely fresh! The avocado on the side was huge and cut right there so sooo fresh. As an avocado lover that was a really nice touch. They were super friendly and quick. We browsed the attached store while they made it and found a few delicious food items we bought too. They did have seating but we got it to go. My husband loves this place but it was my first time. Now I know why he rants and raves about it so much. Can't wait to go back! Good prices on a lot of fresh hot food. I moved from Milwaukee to Fredonia at the beginning of this year & randomly drove passed this place one day without trying it. After that, I tried so hard looking for it on Google, but I guess at the time it wasn't on Google yet. I finally decided to try it. I got their steak tacos & it was so good! By far the best restaurant food I've had in this Fredonia area since moving here. Being from Milwaukee, a bigger city with much more dining options, it takes a lot to impress me, & this place was legit from my experience. I see some review say theirs was cold & not fresh, mine was fresh though. They cooked the meat right in front of me while I was there. I hope they have deals. In Milwaukee, I went to Chicken Palace a lot, because they had a tray of 20 tacos for $35. It's much easier to feed a family buying one of those trays, rather than having to pay for each taco individually.
