I have been purchasing this fresh coffee by mail ever since I first learned about it on a podcast that I follow daily. There are amazing number of coffee beans from around the world that are available and they're all either sent as beans or if you wish it will be ground based on how you plan to percolate them. Fresh coffee is so very different than what I normally get in a grocery store, and this particular roaster is the best that I have found.

We've had several batches from Coffee by Gillespie, and it is incredible the breadth of flavors that are brought out in the coffee. I'm used to the disappointment of tasting a new coffee and immediately discovering that they are overpoweringly acidic or have that burnt character; not the case here. With all of these coffees there has been a great combination of richness offset by sweeter notes. I opened a bag of the 1517 Roast for a pour over this morning, and it was one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had. I look forward to working my way through the rest of the types I have not tried, but I think 1517 is one just to have on hand.
