Sometimes you come across a diamond. It happens a few times in your life. This is it. An unexpected walk to an unexpected treasure. The food is incredible and the atmosphere + service exceptional. Strongly recommend anyone to experience this place. You will leave with a smile and a desire to come back !
The food was delicious and service was great. The corner table by the window offered a wonderful view and ambiance. The only suggestion I have is that they install a mirror at their kitchen entrance instead of yelling “corner” into the dining room every time food is being brought out, which was slightly distracting.
Nice cute restaurant. It’s near the water & other desert places too. They have outdoor sitting which is refreshing. I ordered the Thai pasta meal which our server recommended & it was delicious, just husband for the steak & he loved his meal too. We went back the next 2 days that we were in town!
Twisted Willow continues to be a staple in Port Washington yet ever evolving to provide a slightly new experience every time you visit. The cocktails were fun and balanced, the bruschetta appetizer had more personality than your typical aperitif, and my chicken piccata was the envy of the table- filling, balanced between rich and refreshing, and fried capers are 💯. The others at the table had clam chowder and French onion soups, with the clam chowder being quite unremarkable, unfortunately. They both also had the walleye dish that they agreed was good, but not great. I was thrilled with all my choices 😉 .
Carin was so friendly and knew the menu. It was obvious she enjoyed being part of the team here. We loved all of her suggestions on items to try for dinner. The atmosphere is cozy. There are many little nooks and crannies so you feel like you have the place to yourself, yet you also feel you're part of something very nice. Quiet enough that you can have a conversation and hear each person at your table. You forget how nice that is when you're used to dining in much louder places where it seems like you have to strain to hear the conversation. Definitely a wonderful place
