I am only taking stars away due to the staff not being very friendly and verging on being rude. Every time I've gone in, I feel like I am bothering them and all I am doing is placing a coffee order. Nothing special, just one of their signature drinks. The coffee and food I've previously had is great! The staff could use some major improvements.
Amazing service this morning! The baristas were incredibly understanding and helpful when I asked for an alternative to my usual drink. They suggested several options, took the time to explain each one, and even let me taste it before I left. They made it clear they were happy to adjust anything if needed. The service was outstanding—friendly, patient, and genuinely thoughtful. Such a welcoming experience.
Wow!! What an incredibly QUAINT little cafe! Especially the upstairs seating area I highly recommend! The vibe here was amazingly calm and peaceful. There’s an Epiphone acoustic guitar upstairs that looks free to play, too. 🎸 The vanilla latte I ordered was outstanding and better than Starbucks or anywhere else I can remember. Oddly the prices aren’t listed on the outdoor menu nor the large menu on the wall behind the counter. The only place I saw prices was a printed menu when you walk in the door - and there was only 1 copy left. Anyway prices were normal - $4 for normal size latte, $5 for large.
We we're pleasantly surprised with the food, coffee and atmosphere at Java Dock Cafe. We had the Burrito, Sausage Egg Bagel and Egg Bacon Bagel. The Bagels and all ingredients were very fresh and tasty. One thing we wished, was that they would stay open later so we could eat their food for dinner! Whenever we return to Port Washington, this place is on our 'short-list' to always return too.
We had a great experience at this café meeting some friends in Port Washington! We really liked the atmosphere and the upstairs with games and a guitar to occupy the littles! However, we were a little underwhelmed at the chai latte as it tasted a little watery and not as creamy as we’d hoped. Also, the avocado toast just seemed like some toast with guacamole on top. The avocado toast was good, but it was nothing too fancy. The caramel apple scone had good flavors but was a little dry also. The carrot bread was very good! Overall cute place but not crave worthy food.
