For most of my half-century of birding I had a rule of thumb that in most relatively natural places you can find 30 species if you tried. It's been a long time since that held true. But today I saw 24 species of birds. Reason enough to treasure this place.
Are you looking for a quiet place to get out and walk and get in tune with nature this is it. This was a really beautiful spot to enjoy birding wildlife in Port Washington Wisconsin.
Amazing birding! Great habitat and I’ve always had great luck with sighting high numbers of species. Decent wildflower and pollinator viewing as well. Highly recommended. Would love to see some more financial support for updated signage and viewing platforms.
Beautiful spot for some bird watching. Even saw a massive hawk fly overhead!
