Prices are way too high. People come to your store because they can't afford a $500 dresser. I understand overhead and the help you offer but these prices listed in photos attached are very greedy. Wobbly and in poor condition. Please note that you guys help the not so fortunate and you are not an antique mall and these ebay prices are for people who can afford them! So dissapointing.
I, being a Military Veteran, was shopping at Saint Vincent DePaul Society store in Plymouth Wisconsin this afternoon. I found two United States flags for sale within the store. Both flags were faded, torn and ripped. The two flags were out in the store with price tags. That is completely disrespectful. Where is the respect for our Natons flag? These two flags should never had been tagged for sale, much less brought into the store. The flags should have been taken to a local Veterans unit for retirement. I as a Military Veteran complained to the staff working at the store how disappointing and disgraceful it was to have these two flags for sale being unserviceable. I took the flags to my local American Legion Post and gave the flags a proper retirement. Where is the respect for our flag? It graced me as a Veteran, it disgraced our country, and the Veterans and Servicemembers who have served and are serving our Country. I hope not to see this happen again. The flag is not just a piece of cloth. I deployed to Afghanistan four times. I carried our Nations flag four times in Afghanistan. The flag of our Nation should be given the utmost respect. There is no no confusion about that. I have been to over 100 fallen comrade ceremonies while deployed. Not just for our Soldiers who sacrificed their lives, but for NATO Servicemembers as well. I hope that this review of Saint Vincent DePaul is read. Our flag is not just a pice of cloth.
They know what they have and they are very confident in pricing items that way. As with every thrift it doesn’t mean everything will be that way but they are hyper aware of branding more than condition.
Too big of an ego. They got a bit of a remodel and now apparently think the community needs to pay for it. USED, stained walmart blankets priced higher than they (still) are new in the store? I’ve never laughed so hard at thrift store prices. No need to go back.
St Vincent de Paul ‘Father of the Poor’ If you’re going to be using his name maybe you should help the poor! They also sell things online, for a pretty profit! I guess it’s hard to feel shame or self reflect with all that money you’ve been taking from the poor! You lost our business and I have been telling everyone not to shop here! Ask me to donate money to a made up charity at the register, shouldn’t you be donating to me the poor? Just sad.
