Electrical service for homes, including panel moves and wiring rework
We had a short circuit in our house that was causing a spark in our breaker box, and K W was able to come out quickly (within about 90 minutes of calling) to fix the issue. The electrician (Chris) was professional, kind, and resolved the issue quickly. He also fixed one of our older switches while he was at the house. Highly recommended and we will use them again for any electrical needs.
They did a good job (as far as I can tell). However, their communication was not good: -rescheduled the day before for weeks out. -didn't send me an invoice. I had to ask for one weeks later -didn't send me a way to pay the invoice. I had to ask. -didn't tell me that the 1-day 1-person residential project was going to cost an extra $550 worth of labor because a 2nd person was going to be brought in for the full day I've got nothing against this company personally, but at the end of the day I received an unexpectedly high (and uncommunicated) $1,400 bill that I myself had to get them to send me (which obviously feels bad).
Came out for a estimate in July, told me 2 weeks for the estimate. It would be September before they could get the work done. Told them that was fine. A month passed, no estimate. Gave them a call, said they were just really busy and will get to estimate. 2 more months passed, called again. He sounded annoyed because I had called before about the estimate. Well here we are, 6 1/2 months later, no estimate. If your not going to do a job at least be considerate and let me know.
Duanne and the team at KW did an absolutely amazing job with my home. I had them in to move an electrical panel and rework some basement wiring. They not only did a great job with that, they also added some lights that make that basement look really, really nice. Regrettably, I'm selling the home so I won't be able to enjoy it, but alas, such is life. I've also had them do work professionally and I've had precisely one quality issue in 6 years of working with them. That one issue was taken care of immediately (same day) upon me reporting it. In my opinion, I'd rather get a job done professionally once rather than chase unreliable contractors (done that), so I'll be continuing to recommend KW on my next home.
I placed an emergency call at 10PM on a holiday weekend and Dave responded. He was professional and walked us through our issue. The K W Electric team returned Monday morning and worked the entire day to replace our breaker box. Dave and Dylan were professional, personable, and owned it! I would HIGHLY recommend K W Electric; they went above and beyond, and their customer service was amazing.
