I went to this park due to an invite to my nephew's graduation party, as I live quite a distance away from it. I was quite impressed with the professionalism of the one staff I had met, but what impressed me the most was the overall condition of the park. It was clean, as in nothing was out place or in disarray. Both the lake and the mountain surrounding it was definitely a site to behold, as throughout my 3 hour visit I felt like I was back home sitting in my yard across from our local mountain. It seems like it would be a great place to walk/hike/explore, judging by the number of regular walkers and dog walkers that I had seen there. Would love to go there again and just walk/hike for awhile. Highly recommend if you just want to experience a rural part of Connecticut surrounded by suburbia.
