Pediatric care for children in Middlebury, Connecticut
A thoroughly positive experience. From getting an appointment for two of our children when we needed it, friendly office staff, Dr. Hafez’s lovely manner with the children and a solid plan for treatment. This is the pediatrician we’ve been looking for in the area!
Awful Experience with the Office staff, The doctor is very friendly in person, however my son has been throwing up since he was born Like ALOT like half the bottle or more, on and off. Pretty much every time he burps he throws up right after and he is now almost 3 months old. We have tried everything, he uses a premee nipple, we stop to burp every 20 ml on the bottle! keep him up for a while after nothing helps. I was advised to possibly put rice in my wife's breast milk. Which from my mother, my sister with 2 kids and some brief online research is a big no no these days! ( I eventually tried the Enfamil with rice added and he threw the entire bottle up immediately after finishing) We have come to the conclusion that he may have some sort of allergy because upon switching him to Enfamil Neuropro Gentlese the throw up has resided substantially but he still does it quite often, (enough that we are concerned) We have tried getting Several referrals (GI specialist and physical therapy) because my sister who had a kid with torticollis said it looks like our son may have it because he strongly favors looking to one side, when mentioned we were told some babies just prefer one side ( even though torticollis may explain the throwing up as well!) and the referral we asked for over a month ago is still unheard from. The referral to the GI which would be in Hartford I have called them 3 times and they have told me each time they have not received our referral and each time I Call doctor Hafez' office they tell me they sent / resent. Finally i have found another doctor to switch us to and WHAT A PAIN it has been to get these people to send the medical records to them. ( The new doctor will not make an appointment without the records) First I was told it could take 30 days, then another woman called me the next day and said it was done because it wasn't much information. ( Which believe me when the woman told me it was going to take 30 days to print and fax probably 2 pieces of paper for my 2 month old son I almost lost it) I have now called the new office twice who repeatedly tell me they have received nothing! For me it almost seems like these people are upset I'm leaving their practice and intentionally making it difficult for me. I even questioned whether something might be wrong with their fax! and was simply told they check their fax daily. (So then WHY have 3 different offices told me they have gotten nothing from you?!?!?!) I will try the new doctor again next week and if they still have nothing i have drive to their office get the info myself and drive it over to the new office. I can not possibly recommend this place I'm sorry, I'm starting to really question google reviews I usually trust them but 37, 5 star reviews on this place??? maybe 37 people had perfect babies with no issues
Very kind and takes his time to get to know patients! He is also available for last minute sick visits or consults. We have no complaints and appreciate his expertise and caring nature
Been going to Dr hafez for years. We followed him from the last practice he was at to his new one. He’s the best pediatric Dr and goes above and beyond for his patients and we’re very comfortable with him. He’s a good guy and an even better medical provider. He’s addresses all issues and always makes time for the kids. He’s addresses also eases anxiety for the helicopter parents like myself who freak out about everything.
Dr. Hafez is a wonderful doctor. He is very gentle with my children, answers every questions or concerns I have, and very knowledgeable. If you need a pediatrician he is definitely the one. Staff are always nice and understanding. Wouldn’t choose any other.
